CP Rewritten: Exploring Different Igloo Tools

Just two weeks ago, the Club Penguin Rewritten team released four igloo locations. Since then, many have been wondering about the possibility of having no igloo, as well as a more modern design system.

The more modern design system is generally considered to be the better one, as it allows for three igloo designs to be saved instead of just one, due to a “Save Igloo” feature.

However, the team have now commented on the possibility of this being brought to the game, explaining that they are currently exploring the different options dependent on user feedback.

We are looking into different igloo tools we can add to the game. The igloo location is just a push in the right direction for us, judging from the public’s reaction, a lot of people want more and we always listen to user feedback.

I personally hugely prefer the more modern igloo design system over the older one, simply because it’s so handy to be able to save igloos! Thank you very much for reading, waddle on!

While I think we should be more grateful to CPR for all it has done, the ability to “like” igloos and save them would be a welcomed addition. It is hard sometimes to wipe out something you’ve worked hard on and grown accustomed to only to start again from scratch, but if it doesn’t happen, that’s fine. CPR is doing a stellar job (e.g., introducing custom elements and executing them quite well).

Eh, for me I would appreciate the modern system, but I also appreciate the fact that a large point of CPR is getting to the original, 1st and 2nd generation Club Penguin. Sure, there are things we’ve sacrificed to keep it classic (from igloo likes to puffle hats), but in my opinion those are totally l worthwhile if it preserves the integrity of what’s being created. I was on CP from 2009-11, and I don’t remember any of this as part of the beloved game of my childhood. I play CPR because it reminds me of how CP was when I enjoyed it as a little kid. For me, I’d rather forego the igloo additions in order to preserve the nostalgic feel. Anyhow, that’s just my two cents.
