CP Rewritten: Mass Moderator Resignations Occur
For people waking up, there’s been some further developments in the situation regarding Club Penguin Rewritten. Overnight, all moderators resigned except three.
Update: as of 17th May, just two moderators are left.
Several sources have confirmed that though reasons for this have varied for each moderator, this is primarily in response to the administrative team’s treatment of the moderators and the “environment behind the scenes” rather than Disney’s intervention.
The official word from Club Penguin Rewritten remains that closure is not imminent, although there has been little response on these resignations. To stress though, these resignations don’t correlate to closure.
Regardless of the reasoning, I hope you’ll join me in thanking them and wishing them the best for the future. Once again, I’ll be sure to post any updates here.

I dont know what is going on since the mass CPPS shutdown. They should make a statement about it.

Catdude556, RogerDan and Skyver are the only CPR moderators who stayed. Candy, charlie, Garnet1200, Gena, Halopona, Lily8763cp and Maah all resigned.

A variety of reasons, but close sources have confirmed to me that the primary one was frustration of the administrator’s treatment towards their staff.

Thorn was a big part of the reason why the resignations occurred. No administrators have left the team though.

Wow! Now if Disney doesn’t get CPR, it could shutdown because there’s not enough people to work on it/moderate it. I must admit, things don’t look good…

I wouldn’t be too worried about that! Disney is definitely the main concern here; none of the administrators left, and whilst it is sad to see the moderators go and they were extremely valuable to the community, I suspect more people will be hired should the game continue in the future.

Does Club Penguin Rewritten need mods to continue? Is it possible Disney wouldn’t allow it to be run without mods? What happens if they all resign?

Moderators are necessary in-game but Disney wouldn’t make judgements based on the number of staff. If they all resign, or even if they don’t, new people will be hired over time, but they won’t be the same unfortunately.

Hi! Essentially, yes, Disney is trying to shut down CPR, but unlike other servers, CPR is currently resisting.

Cannot wait for Music Jam! aside from the last day of Puffle Party 2019, Music Jam was my first(and favourite) party!. It was so fun meeting Cadence(my first mascot) and The Band! I actually used this site for meeting Cadence, The Band, and every other mascot! (i have gotten to be the first person in the room to meet Rory, Jet Pack Guy, Rookie, and PH, though not on first visits! It was a MAD-house when Rookie first came, having to wait in line for 1200 penguins)

I’m glad that this site helped! The Music Jam is a lot of fun, including because of the fun of meeting mascots, though the delay is definitely unfortunate yet understandable. 🙂
