CP Rewritten: Reminder of Political Discussion Ban
It’s not entirely a secret that the American election between Trump and Biden has caused deep divisions – not helped by how the electoral process has been challenged. However, I wanted to share this quick reminder as I’ve read a lot of comments and emails about people questioning why they’ve been punished for saying something about either of the two candidates.
As a result, I just wanted to write a quick post in order to try and stop people from receiving punishments without realising they are violating the rules: political discussion on Club Penguin Rewritten isn’t allowed, and could result in a temporary ban.
On a completely separate note, I just wanted to say that although the election has been divisive and the results aren’t clear yet, it’s still important to be kind and recognise there is far more which unites people than divides them, even in these turbulent times.
Above all though, regardless of what happens in the next few days, please remember not to discuss it (or the candidates) in-game since there’s a lot of people being punished for that.
Waddle on!

Oh jeesh! I mean, sure, but it’s just an interesting topic!

It is, and I’m loving the election drama – it’s one of my favourite days! But just something that can’t be discussed in-game. 🙂

Wait, do other poeple in other countries watch the election? Im in america and I voted already, but i thought you lived in the UK?
Torres 126
Yep! I live in the UK, but it’s the main story here (and we even went into lockdown again today…). I’ve been following it particularly closely, but I imagine most people across the world are keeping an eye on it too.

Oh, its interesting…Trump’s suing for the ballots rigged or something like that. this is the year to remember!
Torres 126
Definitely is interesting to see if and how it’ll end up in the Supreme Court!
Stephen
Probably will go to the supreme courts. There definitely was some sketchy stuff going on that night, so there would be some grounds for it, but we basically knew there was going to be some legal things coming from either side regardless.

It’s going to be interesting to see how he tries to prove any election fraud though!
Stephen
i don’t know about fraud, maybe. But there seems to be a lot of mismanagement. There were a few counties in arizona that need to hand count them because they had a software glitch that gave every ballot to biden. And also just like no identification checks/security in these places that the votes are counted, which there should be. This whole thing is one big mess.

In my view, electronic voting is definitely a bad idea. But from my understanding, there’s a recount margin anyway.

TRUMP HAD BETTER NOT BRING IT TO SUPREME COURT
Torres 126
It’ll be interesting if he does – I’m assuming there’s not going to be a legal basis to overturn the election result though; he hasn’t presented any evidence of voter fraud.

I guess Biden won’t be very happy about it tho

Looks like Biden has quite comfortably won anyway, in fairness.
