CP Rewritten: U-Turn on Medieval Party Cancellation

Yesterday, the Club Penguin Rewritten team announced that the Medieval Party would not occur this year, which prompted some unpopular feedback. They have now U-Turned, and stated that there is a possibility that it could happen.

I stated when I originally mentioned that comment [mentioned in the original Club Penguin Mountains blog post] that we can somehow bring it back this year if players wanted it, but it would not be a big party like previous Medieval Parties. It would perhaps be this year if we find a month for it, but definitely not in May.

I understand if the start of that comment suggests that my initial post was misleading, so for the record, Club Penguin Mountains stands by its previous story: there was no indication that any consideration had been given to bringing the Medieval Party back later in the year in those comments, and people would’ve been able to draw their own conclusions from the quote. That quote was in response to the question of “Is there going to be a medieval party this year?” – as far as I am concerned, this shift is a U-Turn in response to unpopular feedback and it was not conveyed yesterday. I always strive to report things as accurately as possible, but there is a reasonable expectation of clarity from the Club Penguin Rewritten team, and I reject in its entirety the very serious suggestion that I misled the community with the initial story.
