How does it work?

This tracker informs you about where Rookie is on Club Penguin Rewritten! From a technical perspective, each time it is loaded, it makes an API call to a spreadsheet that is updated by several people.

Tips for meeting Rookie:

  • Rookie usually attends at the April Fools Party or the Fair
  • Normally he doesn’t attend many milestone celebrations, but he has before, such as the 1 Million Players Celebration
  • He visits a variety of servers, including crowded and non-crowded servers; he is the only mascot to hold a meet-up on a safe chat server

Backgrounds:

Rookie’s first background was obtainable during the April Fools Party 2017, the 100K Penguin Celebration, the Fair 2017, the Waddle on Party in 2018, during the Penguin Games in 2018, the April Fools Party of 2019, and the 5th Anniversary Party of February 2022. 

Rookie’s second background was the Anvil Background, available during the Underwater Expedition in February 2019. It’s the same background as the one Rookie offered in classic Club Penguin for the Underwater Expedition too.

Rookie’s third background, his Cream Soda Giveaway, has so far only been available for the April Fools Party 2020 and during the Noir Party in 2021, which coincided with April Fools then too. It’s based on the Cream Soda Dimension at the April Fools parties.

Rookie’s fourth background, his Whacky Giveaway, has so far only been available for the Fair in 2020 and 2021. It depicts the Wagon Wheel and nighttime sky present at those events.

Note: Rookie also had another background titled Rookie’s Totally Legit Giveaway, but this was obtainable through a code on April Fools Day 2021 and not by meeting him. Learn more.
