    Pengur Termination Officially Confirmed

    March 21, 2020 /

For those who weren’t aware, another project which the Club Penguin Rewritten team (primarily Hagrid and Emma) were working on was Pengur. It was extremely promising, and some content on it can be found here.

Although the game was supposed to release last year, it’s long seemed like development was over. Earlier this week, that was officially confirmed.

I can confirm that Pengur/Coral isn’t really ‘a thing’ anymore and isn’t currently being worked on

    -Thorn

In other words, Pengur will not be releasing. I must admit that this is deeply unfortunate news, and I do hope two things are released by the Pengur team:

    • What Project Coral was intended to be
    • Any unreleased art (the Ice Fishing one, pictured above, was beautiful!)

I’m aware that many won’t be familiar with what Pengur was, but it was probably one of the most promising Club Penguin projects ever. I express my sympathy to those on the team who worked so hard to try and get it released.

    Waddle on!

Pengur: Smaller Events to take Place

    January 4, 2019 /

Recently, there’s been a bit more news about Pengur given more frequently, especially the fact that development is going to be prioritised on it this year.

However, some more information has been given about the types of parties and events which will occur! It’s now been revealed that along with the presumably larger parties, there’ll be smaller events such as Earth Day.

We haven’t planned out parties yet but (a Music Jam) like (the one in) 2016 would be nice. We’d do things like small Earth Day events, probably not for Easter.

    -Flippy, Pengur administrator

Though it’s not a lot of news, I thought it was still interesting to share. The Music Jam in 2016 had the Cruise Ship and the Limo, which were both some really amazing modern elements!

Thank you very much for reading, waddle on!

    Pengur to Release in 2019

    January 1, 2019 /

A small amount of information has been given regarding the release time of Pengur, an upcoming private server which you can read more about here!

The game is now confirmed to release this year. It is worth noting that this same confirmation has been made each time since 2017, but this year will hopefully be different as development is going to be prioritised on it!

We won’t be releasing early January, sadly. BUT we definitely will (release) this year, we can’t wait to show you what we have planned for the first few months of 2019!

    -Flippy, Pengur administrator

Although this has been said so often but never ended up happening before in the past, this year really could see the release of Pengur since priority is being given to it, which would be amazing!

Thank you very much for reading, waddle on!

Pengur: “Full Focus” on Coral After Christmas

    November 16, 2018 /

Some news has been revealed about Project Coral, which although being teased over nine months ago, not much has been said about in recent months.

Unfortunately, it didn’t seem like it’d release anytime soon as priority was always taken away from Pengur onto Club Penguin Rewritten, but that seems to fortunately be changing at the end of this year.

After Christmas, I won’t be involved with Club Penguin Rewritten development as much. I believe stu, Joee and Thorn will carry it on. However, Flippy and I will be putting full focus on Project Coral

-hagrid, Club Penguin Rewritten & Pengur administrator

I’m actually really pleased to hear this, and I’m also a lot more hopeful that Pengur might actually release (probably next year), since the content looks incredibly promising! Flippy is a Pengur administrator, and she also said the following, which is very exciting:

We sure will share more sneak peeks once we get started again; now that the full focus is Coral, we’ll have a lot more to share
    -Flippy, Pengur administrator

Thank you very much for reading, waddle on!

Pengur: No Longer Confirmed to Release in 2018

    August 23, 2018 /

Pengur, a CPPS owned by the Club Penguin Rewritten team, originally has been confirmed since the start of 2018 to be releasing this year.

Sadly, this is no longer the case, and Flippy (an administrator for Pengur) said the following:

We’re just going with the flow, who knows if it’ll be 2018 or not.

I’m just saying I don’t know when it’s releasing and if it’s not 2018, then that’s just how it is.

However, the good news is that Pengur is “most likely” releasing this year, which would be amazing! Considering the circumstances, it’s reasonable to be skeptical, but she also said the following

It’s most likely coming this year still. Once again, I’m just saying don’t be mad if it’s not the case because we’re just as dedicated as the CPR team is.

Whilst this is somewhat unfortunate news, I still wish the Pengur team the best of luck with releasing the game, hopefully sometime soon. Thank you very much for reading!

    Pengur: Rockhopper Island Likely Planned

    July 20, 2018 /

Rarely is much said about Pengur, a private server which is being worked on by the Club Penguin Rewritten team, but there has been one exciting piece of news recently!

UPDATE: The team released a proper sneak peek too! View more here.

However, something which was revealed last night is that there is a likely opportunity we may be able to travel to Rockhopper Island, an entire island which was never discovered on Club Penguin, when Pengur releases!

You may be thinking that this doesn’t really confirm much, and that’s true, but in the past, you’d have definitely seen that the team using a wink emoji suggests something, from the release of Card Jitsu to other content!

As such, it seems highly likely that we will be able to visit Rockhopper Island at some point once Pengur releases, which is confirmed to be this year!

Fan-made Rockhopper Island concept, created by Sandor

The little amount of news revealed about Pengur has undoubtedly resulted in a loss of anticipation for the game’s release, but this is definitely some exciting news! A bit more was revealed recently though too.

The Pengur team stated that they “hope to be able to share some more information on Pengur at some point next month”.

In all seriousness though, thank you all for sticking with us! Our team is working REALLY hard and we hope to be able to share more information on Pengur at some point next month. 😁❤
