CP Rewritten: Card Jitsu Water Development Begun
Some additional information has been revealed about Card Jitsu Water coming to Club Penguin Rewritten! 💧
It was initially announced in September 2018 that the game was intended to release at some point this year, but there’s not been much information about it recently…until now.
“(Card Jitsu) Water is still in discussion with some programming done. The state it is in right now is nowhere near ready for release, but it will eventually come with the hype surrounding it beforehand.”
-stu, Club Penguin Rewritten administratorIt’s still unclear if the game is still intended to release this year as was initially confirmed since it’s been quite a while since the game was last mentioned. However, it’s quite exciting that development has already begun on it!

Club Penguin Rewritten has been Breached
It’s always deeply upsetting when posts like these need to be made, not just regarding the community affected but also the team who cares so dearly about their game, including its security.
Unfortunately it has now been announced by the Microsoft Regional Director, and confirmed by the Club Penguin Rewritten team, that over four million accounts of the game have been breached, including the 1.7 million accounts from a previous breach.
IP addresses, email addresses, and usernames associated with passwords stored as bcrypt hashes have been breached. Though passwords aren’t possible to be compromised, several risks can occur as a result of this breach, including malicious emails from fake addresses, so please take a moment to familiarise yourself with this information.
UPDATE: Please note that several flaws have since emerged regarding the official announcement; the person who initially announced the breach, the Microsoft Regional Director, has challenged the team’s stance that passwords are “impossible to crack”, stating that they’re merely more difficult and take longer to do so.
An official announcement regarding the breach can be viewed here
- Despite your passwords being impossible to crack, we heavily suggest that you have a different password for every website that you sign-up for; this is a security practice that everybody should be following. If you need to change your password, you can do so here.
- Always be cautious when opening emails because you never know which ones could have malicious intent. If you suspect that the email is from an untrusted address, always report it to your email service.
- It is possible to change your IP address either by contacting your ISP (Internet Service Provider) or restarting your router. Options may vary depending on your ISP.
-Recommendations from the official announcement
I too am disappointed that this happened and had to be initially announced by the Microsoft Regional Director before the Club Penguin Rewritten team, but strongly advocate following the team’s security suggestions. “CPPS Safety tips” can always be found on the sidebar of this website as well.
If anymore information is officially released, I will let you know, but please take a moment to ensure that all your online security is up to date.
Thank you,

CP Rewritten: Medieval Paper on Thursday
This is just a super quick post to inform you that the next edition of the Club Penguin Rewritten Times is being postponed until Thursday! The reason cited for the one day delay is that the newspaper will be visibly themed around the Medieval Party, which starts on the same day.
[The] upcoming newspaper is a themed one so it will be releasing on Thursday

CP Rewritten: Earthquakes Occurring
Although the Medieval Party has been delayed until August 1st, earthquakes are now occurring on the Club Penguin Rewritten island!
The effects of the earthquake can be seen across the island, there’s cracks in the Town and Plaza, the Pizza Parlor has been damaged, a lot of the lighting has been disabled, and the Coffee Shop is receiving peculiar flashes of darkness.
Every half an hour, there’s major shakes. Gary claims that these earthquakes reflects the power of the mysterious Dragon Queen, who is likely due to dominate the upcoming party.

CP Rewritten Times: Issue #116 – Medieval Delay
A new edition of the Club Penguin Rewritten Times has been released, and whilst it foreshadows the Medieval Party slightly more, the main story is that this party has now been delayed until next week with earthquakes occurring on the island to compensate.
For the best experience, I would recommend reading the paper for yourself online as it always contains a variety of cool things such as artwork, but as always, I will summarise the news revealed.
This paper revealed:
- The Medieval Party has been pushed back until August 1st (and therefore will last until August 15th). In a blog post statement, the reason cited were development issues. As a result of this, the igloo contest planned has also been pushed back until this date. To compensate, an earthquake is currently occurring on the island reflecting the “power” of the Dragon Queen, according to Gary
- A new pin will be released on August 1st and a new Penguin Style edition on August 8th

CP Rewritten: Exploring Different Igloo Tools
Just two weeks ago, the Club Penguin Rewritten team released four igloo locations. Since then, many have been wondering about the possibility of having no igloo, as well as a more modern design system.
The more modern design system is generally considered to be the better one, as it allows for three igloo designs to be saved instead of just one, due to a “Save Igloo” feature.
However, the team have now commented on the possibility of this being brought to the game, explaining that they are currently exploring the different options dependent on user feedback.
We are looking into different igloo tools we can add to the game. The igloo location is just a push in the right direction for us, judging from the public’s reaction, a lot of people want more and we always listen to user feedback.
-stu, Club Penguin Rewritten
I personally hugely prefer the more modern igloo design system over the older one, simply because it’s so handy to be able to save igloos! Thank you very much for reading, waddle on!

CP Rewritten: Rory Visiting for Medieval Construction
Rory has made his first unexpected visit for the ongoing construction, ahead of the Medieval Party on July 25th! He was tracked by the tracker and made an appearance on Marshmallow.
This is just a quick post to let you know that, as such, Rory is visiting for the Medieval Party construction! Good luck meeting him if you haven’t already, waddle on!

CP Rewritten: Blue Knight’s Armour Likely
In the recently updated login screen for the Medieval Party starting on July 25th, the Club Penguin Rewritten team featured a knight which seems to be wearing some blue armour that hasn’t been released yet.
This left many players wondering if a blue-themed knight armour could be coming to the island soon, and now the team have hinted at this being more likely, saying to “keep an eye out”!
Initial statement: “Seriously if [Club Penguin Rewritten] release Blue themed Knight’s Armour, this will one of the best Medieval Parties!”
Team’s response: “Keep an eye out, we can’t wait to share with you all what we have planned for the Medieval Party!”
-stu, Club Penguin Rewritten administrator
The image above is from the bottom right of the new log-in screen, when lightened up a bit. It definitely does seem that a blue-themed knight armour is very likely now!

CP Rewritten: Medieval Login Screen
The Medieval Party is due to hit the island on July 25th for two weeks, with construction starting now across Club Penguin Rewritten, from the Ski Village to the Town!
However, perhaps the most exciting element revealed today is the new login screen, which seems to depict a knight, a wizard and a dragon…except not Scorn.
Perhaps it could be the Dragon Queen which Gary mentioned in the recent newspaper, but only time will tell. Thank you very much for reading, waddle on!

CP Rewritten: Shield Pin Location (July 2019)
A new pin has been hidden on Club Penguin Rewritten until August 1st. You can find this pin at the Gift Shop in the yellow box next to the clothing stands and chairs.
To obtain this pin, click it and then click “Yes”. It will be then be added to your inventory so that you can wear it as well as your stampbook! If someone is blocking it, I would suggest going on a less empty server to obtain it.
