Club Penguin Rewritten Team Issue Farewell Message
The last two days have been difficult for many in our community, but probably especially so for the Club Penguin Rewritten team. Although they released a couple words about what happened, they’ve now released a more formal farewell message on their social media accounts.
Thank you for the kind words and support. We will always make video games, and we hope that you stick around to see that. Obviously, we plan to make our own games that will never be related to Club Penguin – we will continue to create things. All we can say is thank you for giving us the chance to give you all a place you could call home.
-Club Penguin Rewritten teamI think it’s slowly starting to sink in that this really will be the closure of Club Penguin Rewritten. I will have a proper post about what comes next for this blog within the next week or so, and I’ll keep you updated if the team say anything else.

If you try and visit the Club Penguin Rewritten website, some users will find a notice stating that it has been taken over by the Police Intellectual Property Crime Unit department at the City of London Police. For those interested, this unit has national responsibility for leading on crime relating to copyright in Britain, even outside the jurisdiction of the City of London.

CP Rewritten: “Cannot Speak Further” on Shutdown
Information being revealed by the Club Penguin Rewritten team is extremely limited at the moment, but they have said a little more in addition to their previous statement from two hours ago.
I cannot speak further on it, but yes, it is real – no weird conspiracies. We will eventually speak more on it, but for now we stay making things behind the scenes.
-stu, Club Penguin Rewritten administratorIt’s still a very chaotic morning as people try to grapple what’s going on, but as soon as more information is revealed, I’ll be sure to let you know.

CP Rewritten: Team Statement on Disney Takedown Notice
Some really devastating but somewhat confusing news has just been announced by the team, so forgive the lack of detail provided at the moment. Just a couple of minutes ago, the team released this statement.
CPRewritten is shutting down effective immediately due to a full request by Disney. We have voluntarily given control over the website to the police for them to continue their copyright investigation.
-Thorn, Club Penguin Rewritten administratorThe impact of this is not properly known yet, and it’s unclear what immediate changes have been made to the website. I will keep you updated throughout the day as more is learnt, but this is obviously distressing news for our community.
Best wishes,

CP Rewritten: Bean Counters and Pufflescape Under Development
Just wanted to share some quick news about a couple of the upcoming mini-games on Club Penguin Rewritten: development for Bean Counters and Pufflescape is currently taking place! It’s been known that the latter game has been worked on for a while, but this is the first indication that the team are planning to return Bean Counters in the new HTML5 technology after its initial release had many bugs, causing it to be removed.
It’s not quite yet known when either of these games will be released or how much progress has currently been made in development, but I’ll be sure to keep you updated as we learn more. Thank you very much for reading!

CP Rewritten: Baseball Pitch Stadium Sneak Peek
Just under a year ago, the Club Penguin Rewritten team announced plans for a baseball pitch at the Stadium. Not much has been mentioned about it recently, but this has still been under development, and the team have now provided a sneak peek about what this will look like!
It’s an entirely custom room designed by one of the team’s artists, Lovebacon56, which will rotate with the Ice Rink and the Stadium. It’s also interesting to note the mysterious sign to another room on the right, as it’s not yet known where that might lead!

CP Rewritten: Spanish Servers Launched
Some really big news for Club Penguin Rewritten: it’s now possible to play the game in Spanish! There are four different servers, and the island has been entirely translated into the language; this includes signs, instructions, and safe chat messages.
In order to play in Spanish, you simply need to use the Language Selector at the top of the screen. It can also be accessed directly with this link: https://play.cprewritten.net/es/
It’s worth noting that there’s a special hat which you can pick up at the Town on Spanish servers in order to commemorate the launch, and you can switch easily to and from English without needing to register a new account – all your progress will be saved.
Much credit must also go to the team for making the island more accessible, and if that includes the game being more accessible to you: welcome! It’ll be interesting to see how the Spanish language will be supported, and whether that’ll influence things such as mascot visits, however I’ll be sure to keep you updated as more information is revealed. Thanks for reading!

The first sneak peek of a complete room at the Hollywood Party has been released by the Club Penguin Rewritten team! It features the decorations which will be present at the Town. There’s also a bit of an empty space at the bottom, which will probably be where the limo arrives and will be located.
