CP Rewritten: August Catalog to Release with Music Jam
There’s been a lot of interest in regards to the timing of the next Club Penguin Rewritten update! Although a precise date hasn’t been revealed, the team did announce something which I felt was worth sharing, namely that the Music Jam and the Penguin Style will be released either as part of the same update or with the Music Jam first.
[The Penguin Style] is taking time due to there being custom items. Also working on the Music Jam, once that is out then the Penguin Style will release.

The end of August is rapidly approaching, and the Music Jam should definitely occur this month, so hopefully there isn’t still too much of a wait!

They cancelled the July catalog so they could get the August one out on time
This doesn’t seem in time at all. It’s already 20 August and thay are still making promises
I don’t know if i can trust them about the deadline, though
The team is either understaffed or there is simply too much work

I have sympathy for pushing the Penguin Style back later in the month because I think that the decision to add such a large range of custom items was taken afterwards, and it’s understandable that would take more time to develop. In general though, I completely understand the frustration about the delays. I do wish that the team would avoid making commitments which they weren’t confident could be fulfilled.

I just wish them bekng honest with us whatever the situation is. That way we can understand the problem and maybe help them a little bit

Agreed! The team has been making promises (and for some, problems) about updates and such. I mean, the canceled two catalogs(I think) to the point where I’m not so sure if there will be an October catalog, too. Also, how many party’s have they canceled? I know that there is a lot that was(and still is) going under development, but a good fix is to try and A. Get people to fund them or B. Try and get more workers. And the funny thing is, this just all for our entertainment alone.

I’m hoping the schedule won’t be so strange by October – it’d be odd to delay the content associated with that month, since you can’t exactly have a Halloween Party starting in November. I’m sure that the team recognise that though.

they haven’t cancelled any parties. adventure party isn’t cancelled, its just being postponed.

I suppose that, for many, it effectively feels like a cancellation. For example, the Halloween Party hypothetically being cancelled this year could technically be considered a delay since it’d still occur next year, but when the team previously committed to it occurring this year, I could understand why people would feel it was a cancellation.
