CP Rewritten: Festival of Lights – Sneak Peek & Mascot

In last night’s Devcast by the Club Penguin Rewritten team, three things were revealed about the Festival of Lights, which start on 23rd January!

The first thing was that a sneak peek was released of the Town. It shows the nighttime sky, along with the lights on the Gift Shop. It’s likely that the rest of the island will have this too.

The second thing revealed is that there will be a mascot for the party. Most people are currently suggesting it’ll be Gary, based on the fact that the newspaper associates him heavily with the event.

Lastly, it was revealed that during the event, some beautiful soundtracks will be playing; the team suggested ensuring your tab isn’t muted for this event! As a reminder, the event starts on Thursday, and I’ll let you know if anything else is revealed. Thank you for reading!

CP Rewritten: eReader Unlock Code

A code for a really cool new item has been released on Club Penguin Rewritten, where you can now unlock the eReader! It’s intended to look similar to a mobile device.

To redeem this code, on the server selection page, click “Unlock Items Online” on the top right, and then “I’ve got a code”. Enter the code MILESTONE20 to receive the item!

The code was revealed during the Devcast, and I suspect that it’ll soon be expired, so be sure to unlock it whilst you still can!

CP Rewritten: Pufflescape Releases

Pufflescape, the game in which you explore caves with your puffle and try to unlock different levels, has now been released! It can be found at the Pet Shop by clicking the white puffle icon at the bottom left of the room.

I think that it probably won’t be necessary to delve into turning this post into a guide; there’s a fairly comprehensive guide by clicking “Instructions” on the level selection screen, and plenty of help available for each level.

There’s also eleven new Pufflescape stamps! I’ve mentioned them a bit more in this post, if you’re still interested. I suspect many people are still surprised the game has been added, but I hope you have a lot of fun playing – it’s definitely quite nostalgic too.

CP Rewritten: Light Bulb Pin Location

A new pin has been hidden on Club Penguin Rewritten until January 30th. You can find this pin at the Plaza, just by the create at the bottom left of the room. It is the Light Bulb Pin. 💡

To obtain this pin, click it and then click “Yes”. It will be then be added to your inventory so that you can wear it as well as your stampbook! If someone is blocking it, I would suggest going on a less empty server to obtain it.

CP Rewritten: Pufflescape to be Released Tomorrow

Some very exciting news has just been released, and it’s completely unexpected! Pufflescape, the mini-game in which you explore caves with a puffle, is due to be released tomorrow!

For those unaware how the game works, it is located at the Pet Shop, and the aim is to collect O’Berries to progress to the next level. It can be quite challenging, since you’ll need to create bridges by clicking, but it also offered a lot of coins.

Besides the coins, the game also has a variety of stamps! In fact, even though the game has not released yet, you can find the stamps for Pufflescape in your stamp book.

As I know many will be curious, I’ve included an image (from classic Club Penguin) on what to expect when all the stamps have been earned.

In many ways, this does seem completely random and an out-of-place announcement. But I think that’s one of the things which has made this so exciting. And trust me, Pufflescape does have some beautiful music too!

CP Rewritten: Selection in Puffle Launch Introduced

The Puffle Launch selection which you may be familiar with from classic Club Penguin has now been brought over to Club Penguin Rewritten!

It’s fairly minor, but when playing Puffle Launch now, you’ll be able to choose the puffle which you want to play from all of the ones you’ve adopted.

Previously, you’d just be stuck with a red puffle, irrespective of whether or not you owned one.

CP Rewritten: Devcast for Australian Fires

As you may be aware, a whole bunch of fires are currently raging in Australia – in fact, they’re the size of Belgium when all combined, and the area of smoke is the same as Europe. These are causing a variety of concerns for people living there, and has damaged a lot of wildlife.

In an attempt to raise some awareness for this, the Club Penguin Rewritten team will be holding a charity donation stream and Devcast. For those who aren’t aware, Devcast is a little podcast where the cast discuss stuff.

It will be on January 16th at 9pm GMT. As part of the stream, you will be able to donate to help the fires, and you’ll receive a treasure book code for doing so. I should urge you to please not donate without permission from a parental figure, though these donations are absolutely genuine.

There will also be a new Treasure Book series for when this occurs. I’ll let you know if more is revealed, thank you for reading!
