Club Penguin’s Argentinian Office
In the past for Mountains Monday, whenever I’ve shared images from a Club Penguin office, it’s mainly been from the headquarters in Canada. However, there were several throughout the world, and there’s some impressive photos from the office in Buenos Aires, located in Argentina! I wanted to share two of those today.
The first one is simply a picture of two doors, but the decoration on them seems really creative, as it depicts different Club Penguin characters! The other image from the Argentinian office was a photo of an impressive puffle mural.
I hope that you enjoyed reading this post!

Club Penguin’s LCD Watch
For the Mountains Monday featuring a photo, I’ve decided that it might sometimes be fun to feature a specific piece of merchandise, especially one which is a little uncommon – and that’s exactly what this week’s post is about!
It’s a watch which could be bought from ToysRUs in 2008 for $9.99. However, photos of it today are extremely rare, and it’s believed that there hasn’t been one available to buy for quite a while. This has led to it being forgotten by many players!
I’m not sure if I’ll continue to use Mountains Monday to feature this old pieces of merchandise, but maybe every few months or when I run out of other photos, which probably won’t be anytime soon! If you did like this type of post though, be sure to let me know!

Club Penguin’s Merry Walrus Parade Float
On several different years, at Disney theme parks, it used to be possible to see a Club Penguin-themed float at around Christmas time! Given that the Mountains Monday earlier this month was “We Wish you a Very Merry Walrus“, for today’s photo, I wanted to share the float which went alongside it in 2014.
It’s based on a room which was present at the Club Penguin party, but there’s something really cool about seeing it brought to real-life as well!
This is the last Mountains Monday of the year, but I hope that you’ve enjoyed reading them! Some of them have been really fun to write, and I’ve especially found sharing these photos fun given that many people have never seen them before.

Club Penguin Winter Wonderland at Shopping Mall
In 2011, at Metrô Tatuapé Shopping Centre in Brazil, there were a variety of decorations ahead of Christmas! They included a tree decorated with puffles, along with lots of different penguins and snowmen designs from Club Penguin. For this week’s Mountains Monday, I thought that they’d be fun to share as Christmas approaches! 🎄
My favourite part of these photos are the penguin designs; I think they look really cute, and the holiday clothing which many of them are wearing fits nicely with the background. Above all, it’s pretty remarkable to think that nine years ago, Club Penguin was even taking over shopping malls!
That’s all for today’s Mountains Monday post and real-life photo, I hope you enjoyed reading it! Waddle on!

Club Penguin’s Real Tenth Anniversary Cake
Since it’s the final Monday of the month, it’s time to share a photo of something in-real-life related to Club Penguin! I think that this one is really fitting for today, especially with the anniversary celebrations on the weekend.
For the 10th Anniversary Party, the Coffee Shop contained a special cake! However, a styrofoam replica of the virtual cake containing real icing was brought to the office! The cake was recreated by Bobbi Jean, who you may recognise from her penguin name: Megg.
I’d like to thank Jen (IslandQueen) for allowing me to share this image; I thought that it was extremely impressive, and something people would be interested in seeing, particularly with all the anniversary celebrations still fresh in our mind!

Club Penguin at London Zoo
I’m sorry about the lack of Mountains Monday posts lately! I’m going to try and get back into writing them, but please do be patient with me as things have been a bit difficult lately. As part of the schedule, today is a photo from something in the real world!
In 2008, the Club Penguin team held an event at London Zoo. There was an area dedicated with stickers of the game, and a large poster of the map! In addition to this, there were some stalls set up of different areas from the virtual island.
Photo by Fishy Boy 15 It’s pretty amazing that this was over a decade ago, but I thought that it’d be fun to share! Thank you for reading!

Club Penguin’s 1 Million Players Cake
It’s the fourth Monday of the month, so as usual, time to share a photo of some related to Club Penguin in real life! Cakes have been doing rounds around the web lately, but there’s a rather iconic photo of Lance Priebe (rsnail – one of the three founders of the game) cutting a cake that I wanted to share today!
It was at a cake from Dairy Queen to celebrate for Club Penguin reaching one million registered accounts, so this was many years ago! In fact, at the time, that small cake was enough to provide a slice to every employee in the team.
Photo shared by Chris Hendricks (Screenhog) It’s amazing seeing how much everyone has aged since then too! For those interested, that’s Holly (happy77) on the left and Lance (rsnail) on the right cutting the cake. Chris (Screenhog) is also sitting next to Lance. Perhaps Lance looks just a bit too happy cutting the cake – he was described as a “samurai warrior” and “delighted”!
I hope that you enjoyed this random Mountains Monday post; thank you for reading, and waddle on!

Club Penguin Piano in Downtown Kelowna
Another Mountains Monday has arrived, and as it’s the fourth week of the month, it’s time to share a photo of something in the real world related to Club Penguin! I’ve always found this one quite cool, and it’s particularly relevant with all the musical festivities ongoing on the island currently.
As you may be aware, Club Penguin was founded in Kelowna, which is a city in Canada. In this city, it’s actually possible to find pianos based on the game which people can play, so that’s today’s photo! You can see the puffles on the piano on the left.
Photo initially published by KelownaNow The reasoning for this is that the pianos present there were sponsored and funded by Disney Interactive, so among community designs, one of them had a puffle. As such, I thought that this was a pretty cool image to share.

Club Penguin's Star Wars Lightsaber
As usual for today’s Mountains Monday post, I’ll be sharing a photo of something. I’m not quite sure where today’s is from; I found it in the Media Library from several years ago, and I can’t find it online elsewhere, which is why it has a watermark!
It’s a rather exclusive photo of a lightsaber, following the Star Wars Takeover, and has Club Penguin branding on it. My understanding based on an older post of mine is that this item was offered to every team member in the UK office in Brighton.
This is probably one of the rarer pieces of Club Penguin merchandise; it was never sold, and this seems to be the only image left of it online. I wish I had more information to share, but it’s difficult to find! I did think that this was a cool photo worth posting again though.
Thank you for reading, waddle on!

Kelowna Innovation Centre’s Club Penguin Staircase
The Kelowna Innovation Centre is a location in Canada founded by Lane Merrifield, who you may know as Billybob, one of the founders of Club Penguin. For today’s Mountains Monday, I wanted to share a wonderful photo from there.
At the end of 2018, when Club Penguin Island had announced closure, members of the team (old and new) held a little get-together there. As part of this event, the staircase was decorated with the different designs of the Holiday Party.
Photo taken by Nate Bolton
I must say, it’s quite remarkable seeing the evolution of the artstyle with just penguins related to the Holiday Party. You might spot some familiar characters, such as the Merry Walrus, too! If you’d like to see the post from when this event actually happened, you can find that here. But it’s been a while, so I thought it was worth resharing.
Ps. Lane is currently recovering from the coronavirus – just wanted to join the rest of the community in wishing him a swift recovery.
