CP Island: Big Hero 6 Items

    October 27, 2017 /

Big Hero 6 will be the next major franchise coming to the Disney Store on Club Penguin Island next month! The team shared a sneak peek of some of the outfits and decals here.

The first thing which was shared was an outfit of Hiro. In my opinion, this is the best Disney outfit so far, it actually looks super cool!

The team also shared two new decals San Frantokyian and a hero version of Hiro! These were the designs that were published.

Big Hero 6 looks to be my favourite Disney-CPI franchise so far, the costumes look incredible! Thank you very much for reading, be sure to check back for more of the latest news and guides!

    October 27, 2017 /

The Club Penguin Island team are hosting a vote for which of these three music decals should appear in the update in November!

There are five options to choose from: the Guitar, the Singing Penguin, the Microphone, the Glam Penguin and the Mix Tape!

The top three voted emotes will come into the game! Personally, my favourites are the Guitar, the Mix Tape and the Microphone, but you can vote for your favourite on the official blog post here.

Thank you very much for reading, waddle on!

Club Penguin Island: Ghost Meter Filled

    October 23, 2017 /

The Ghost Meter has been filled on Club Penguin Island, with Gary congratulating you as soon as you enter the Island Central area!

Members can collect the Pumpkin Costume and everyone can collect the All Hallows’ Tee, however it appears that the ghost game is still available to play for the 20 coins reward.

I feel like it’s important to share that this was not a community event, the ghost bar filled up automatically without the interference of the community. This was proven by the files and that it was completely filled up at exactly midnight PST, but at least it did a good job of bringing many penguins online!

I’m really glad that non-members are finally able to wear an item! Hopefully there will be more activities, like a Scavenger Hunt, over the course of the month on the island. Thank you very much for reading!

Club Penguin Island – Igloo Development Sneak Peek

    October 20, 2017 /

The Club Penguin Island team have uploaded a video on the blog containing details on igloos, which can be viewed here! In this post, I’ll be showing a bit more detail to the rather fast paced video published!

As we can see above, furniture will be quite similar to the Clothing Customiser. You will be able to rotate it and enlargen it before placing it, and the angle of the igloo will change as you decorate it.

You will be able to have three igloo layouts, and I believe that they can vary in size. There won’t be a basement for these igloos but there will be a roof, domed like the ones we see in Island Central!

Let’s start with some furniture. The first thing to note are all the tabs. There will be a catalog, which is probably going to be like the clothing catalog, suggesting we will be able to edit furniture. Along with buildings and furniture, there’s also effects, which sounds cool!

The bottom tabs say “Furniture, Decoration, Landscaping, Terrain and Interactions”, which all seem to contain different items to use in our igloo. These are some furniture items.

And here are some Decorations. These actually look really cool, we can see a well, a fountain (yay!), a really hi-tech computer screen and much more! The “Landscaping”, “Terrain” and “Interaction” sections have still not been revealed, but so far, this section is my favourite.

It also appears that igloos can have both an indoor and an outdoor area, as well as different rooms. This was one of the examples of an igloo shared inside the video!

To conclude this post, I’d like to just give some context with this concept art that was published in March earlier this year for igloos. I must admit that this does just seem more active and exciting than the images today, but I’m really liking the possibilities, especially with the outdoor area. I just hope that the interactive items are as exciting too!

However, there’s also a lot more plans for igloos in the future, including the ability to own a functioning store!

    https://twitter.com/clubpenguin/status/921475415134183424

Igloos will be released in the next update and everyone will get one as well as furniture, which is great! Thank you very much for reading, be sure to check back for more of the latest news and guides!

Club Penguin Island – 1.7 Update (Island Central & Halloween)

    October 18, 2017 /

The Club Penguin Island 1.7 update has been released for many, containing a new area, party and mini-game along with other small improvements!

This post will be fully sharing what’s in this new update and be a guide for the Halloween Party!

The largest selling point of this new update is a brand new area: Island Central. It is a spectacular new area though a lot smaller than many expected, but this is due to the at least three rooms which have not opened up yet. Currently, the only store open is just another Disney Store.

A new mini-game has been released! The concept is that you need to memorise the notes which appear on the screen and then tap them out of the three options. Though it’s not too difficult, it’s a pretty cool game and definitely exceeded my expectations!

Franky’s Pizza is a lot smaller than originally expected but it does contain two new varieties of pizza! On the topic of Party Supplies, party games have had their prices reduced and Marble Hunt is back! Also, fishing now rewards you with 5XP for a random mascot.

There’s also a little Halloween Pumpkin Supply which you take candy from and put in your beak.

The other huge part of this update is the Halloween Event! The entire island is decorated with some night skies and other spooky items. When you log on, you will also receive 3 emojis, 3 fabrics and 3 decals.

There’s also a little activity to achieve some rewards, which some are also available for non-members. These are the rewards on offer., but they need to be unlocked!

These are the steps to earn these items!

    1. Enter the Island Central area where a cut scene will automatically begin
    2. Listen to Gary and watch his invention
    3. Head to the little bat statue on the right side of the area. A timer will count down, so try and gather some friends before it hits zero!
    4. When the pumpkins appear, start throwing snowballs at them. Eventually, you’ll knock over all the pumpkins but you have to do it within a time limit, similar to Crate & Co!
    5. You’ll earn some coins, but then you’ll need to listen to Gary again and watch the machine
    6. Keep battling the ghosts again until the meter fills up, which may take a while, but then you can claim your reward!

That pretty much concludes the contents of this update! However, there is one more thing I’d like to share with you. We already know some rather exciting content is coming, such as igloos, but the team also included this in the new Island Central area. It seems familiar from classic Club Penguin because it is a puffle. Is this the Puffle Forest?

I would like to give some further thoughts on it. This update disappoints me due to the lack of new levels and general lack of incentive to play. As a max-level player, I have no reason to log on everyday or pay for membership.

Island Central looks beautiful, but with so many shops closed, all it really is are a few more seats, a Dance Game (which is really cool) and some new gear. That doesn’t make me too happy, simply because of there being no new levels, which would have made a huge (positive difference).

Other than that, I hope you will enjoy the update! Thank you very much for reading, be sure to check back for more of the latest news and guides! Waddle on!

CP Island: Team Dance Battle – Island Central

    October 13, 2017 /

Cadence and a new mini-game will be arriving at the new Island Central area on the 1.7 Club Penguin Island update later next week! The team shared a sneak peek on the new game here.

In the post, they reveal some small details about the new mini-game, including that up to 10 people can be part of a team and there are two teams. On-screen commands will appear on the screen and you simply have to click the button, similar to Dance Contest!

My only concern is that this might be fairly simple, especially since there are only three buttons. Also, without there being new levels, there isn’t really much incentive for max-level players such as myself to play this mini-game or really the new update at all. I’m still hoping that eventually the team will start to include new levels in every update.

That’s all the information revealed in this post, thank you very much for reading! Be sure to check back for more of the latest news and guides!

CP Island: Voice Acting of Gary, Herbert & Shellbeard

    October 12, 2017 /

Part two of the Dev Diaries on voice acting has been released, containing Behind-the-Scenes footage of the voice acting of Gary, Herbert and Shellbeard!

Amazingly, these three characters are all played by one person (Todd Haberkorn) yet sounded completely different to me in-game! Here’s the video which was published.

This was a really cool, yet short, video, and I was really interested to hear how the team bring the characters to life! However, I am slightly disappointed that we no longer even get a thumbnail for videos. Overall, this video was quite cool, but maybe not quite worth the wait.

Thank you for reading, waddle on!

CP Island: Pumpkin Party Supply & Bells Decal

    October 11, 2017 /

Later this month, Halloween will be arriving on the island and today the team have shared a sneak peek of a party supply on Club Penguin Island in the 1.7 update!

This is the pumpkin which will be a party supply later this month.

Although we don’t know if it’ll be temporary or permanent, I hope that this will be more than just a usual, small action. Perhaps we’ll be able to collect candy and then exchange them for rewards, such as coins or items. It may look familiar to you as it can be seen in this mysterious image!

Along with that, the team also shared a decal which will be obtainable in the 1.8 update in December! It’s a decal of some bells, so it definitely seems related to the Holiday Party! Perhaps something similar will happen then too!

Those are all the Club Penguin Island sneak peeks which were shared today, thank you very much for reading! I’m excited to see what the Halloween/Holiday Party will hold, and be sure to check back for more of the latest news and guides!

CP Island: Halloween Area Designs & Island Central Pictures

    October 7, 2017 /
This logo is not for Club Penguin Island*

This week’s sneak peek contains a whole load of photos on the Halloween Event next month, as well as a massive photo of the Island Central area that we’ve not seen yet!

It confirms he return of the dark and spooky sky, as well as some other decorations, and mascot redesigns. The event starts when the 1.7 update is released, which will likely be in ten days, and will probably be the biggest event so far!

We start with a huge look of Island Central in 1.7, with Franky’s on the right and the mosaic on the left. For the first time, it seems clear that there will be another Disney Store (possibly for furniture) and we get a look at some of these busking stations. Igloos will still be under construction.

There is also water and what appears to be a canal, which to me, is the most beautiful part of this area! The timer suggests some sort of mini-game with this area, and Gary being on the far left does open up the possibility of Gary’s Adventures in the future!

The image above also seems to show some Halloween themed blueprints and some sort of mysterious portal. We do know that non-members will receive an item in this event though! Those were the main things which are new in the Island Central area!

The image above of Beacon Boardwalk demonstrates some more of the spooky designs, but to me, the Full Moon in green looks slightly weirder than the one on classic Club Penguin? I love the Jack’o Lanterns though and I think they’re a great way to bring light to the island! The Migrator also looks spooky, and Rockhopper’s vampire redesign does look awesome!

The last picture shows Mt. Blizzard’s climbing wall illuminated, as well as the spooky shadows and the sky in the background! Once again, I don’t really like the shade of the sky and it seems like there’s water, except the colour has been changed, but I do appreciate the effort to bring back the dark sky!

Overall, this event seems to have succeeded my expectations! The next question is how long will this event last for, but I’m just really excited to see the Halloween Party and Island Central area in-game. Be sure to check back for more of the latest news and guides, thank you for reading!

    CP Island: All-Access Event Begins

    October 6, 2017 /

Free membership is now available for everyone on Club Penguin Island, exclusive to this weekend only until 11:59PM (PST) on October 8th! Yay, free membership!

As a celebration for this event, the team have released a video, and when non-members log-on, they will receive a chest with the key! It isn’t an item and members aren’t missing out on anything. The team shared this to advertise some of the features which are now unlocked for everyone!

I’m really glad to see the team hosting these events and I also hope that non-members will enjoy the additional features they get this weekend! The island is a lot more fun with membership, so I’m glad players are truly being given the opportunity to play without having to enter a credit card or something along those lines.

Thank you very much for reading, be sure to check back for more of the latest Club Penguin Island news and guides! Waddle on!
