CP Rewritten: Gary’s Background for PSA Visits Confirmed

    May 9, 2021 /

    View Gary tracker here

Gary will be making several visits from today as part of the celebrations regarding the return of PSA missions! However, it’s now been confirmed that he will be offering this background. Although it’s been available at several events in the past, the last one in which Gary offered it was the Medieval Party 2019, so that’s quite a while.

Just to stress though, this won’t be the background which Gary offers for the Mountain Expedition and Prehistoric Party which are also due to occur this month.

    Good luck meeting him!

CP Rewritten: Gary Meet-Up Times for Early May

    May 8, 2021 /

Gary will begin visiting the island from this week in celebration of the PSA missions returning! Although he’ll also be making random spontaneous visits from now, three scheduled meet-ups have also been released for the next few days. You can find all the details for them on the Gary Tracker!

    View the Gary meet-up times

In terms of backgrounds, Gary will be offering a different background once the Mountain Expedition begins to the one for the immediate upcoming visits.

Gary will be roaming around! Please note that the giveaway for this meet-up will be different to the one for both Prehistoric Party and Mountain Expedition.

    -stu, Club Penguin Rewritten administrator

The tracker should help a lot in finding him, especially since he’ll be making spontaneous visits too. Good luck!

CP Rewritten: Mascots Being Considered for Graduation Event

    May 6, 2021 /

The Club Penguin Rewritten team are considering whether or not mascots should attend for the Graduation Event due to occur later this month! Although they haven’t confirmed anything for certain, the only mascot explicitly referenced so far is DJ Maxx; the team stated it would be a “cool idea” for him to appear.

stu: I can speak to a few mascots and see if they’re free.
If possible, could we have DJ Maxx to appear?
    stu: Cool idea, I’ll see.

Consequently, the “chance of visiting this month” status on the DJ Maxx tracker has been moved to possible. Once more information has been revealed though, I’ll be sure to let you know!

Thank you very much for reading, waddle on!

CP Rewritten: Graduation Event Sneak Peek

    May 5, 2021 /

Some new pieces of information have been revealed regarding the upcoming Graduation Event on Club Penguin Rewritten! The main reveal is a sneak peek of the Night Club’s design, though the team have said that the Arcade will also contain some decorations.

It’s worth noting that the room hasn’t been completed yet and it’s still in development, which is why the banner still says “Text”. However, the sneak peek provides an idea about the general feel and atmosphere of the room!

In addition, the team confirmed that the Purple Graduation Hat will be available for free. It’s basically identical to the existing graduation hats which can currently be obtained through an unlock code, except it’s in purple. They stated that this would be a “yearly tradition”, indicating that this event will be one which occurs again in the future. Lastly, in regards to the timing of the event, the team stated that they were planning to hold it around the middle of May.

CP Rewritten: Baseball Pitch Being Planned

    May 4, 2021 /

The Club Penguin Rewritten team are planning a custom baseball pitch which will be included in the Stadium! Currently, the room mainly rotates between space for football and ice hockey, but under the team’s new idea, it’ll be turned into a baseball pitch.

Instead of the Stadium being football stuff, I’m getting Lovebacon56 [the game’s artist] to do a baseball pitch room – that’ll probably be when the Sports Catalog comes out.

    -stu, Club Penguin Rewritten administrator

Once that development has completed, the team intend to bring back the Snow & Sports catalog, from which it will be possible to purchase sports-themed items. Given that the room would be a custom one, it might still take some time, and it’s not clear yet when this change will occur.

    CP Rewritten: Graduation Mini-Event Planned

    May 3, 2021 /

The Club Penguin Rewritten team are planning a “small event for those graduating this year”, in addition to the code which has already been released. The event will be solely based in the Night Club, and it won’t be anything major at all. There haven’t been any sneak peeks released yet, so there isn’t much which I can show; although there was a Penguin Prom in 2014 on classic Club Penguin, it occurred in a “School” room which doesn’t exist on the island, so it’ll probably be a lot smaller than that.

Penguin Prom on classic Club Penguin in 2014

It’s worth noting that this event has actually been put to a poll on the official blog which you can vote in, but it’s very unlikely that the community will veto the event through this poll.

CP Rewritten: Prehistoric Party to Lack Puzzles

    May 3, 2021 /

The Prehistoric Party won’t contain any puzzles, so presumably no quests, when it occurs on Club Penguin Rewritten later this month, the team have confirmed. As a result of this, the team are optimistic that the event can still begin this month despite the delay of the Mountain Expedition because it requires less time to develop.

The Prehistoric Party is technically easier as it doesn’t require puzzles or anything.

    -stu, Club Penguin Rewritten administrator

I just wanted to share this news to ensure those expecting something similar to the Prehistoric Party on classic Club Penguin aren’t too disappointed! Although it’s a matter of interpretation as what “puzzles” refer to, it’s probably safe to assume that Dino Dig and the collection of dinosaur eggs which went with it won’t be part of the event. The activities associated with the Dino puffles probably also won’t be part of the event.

For those unaware, Dino Dig was effectively like Treasure Hunt, but it was dino-themed!

    • The game operated like Treasure Hunt
    • You could find dinosaur eggs
    • These eggs could be collected to unlock items

Instead, it seems like that the Prehistoric Party will be more of an event which encourages roleplay, similar to the Noir Party. That still is pretty exciting though, especially because the rooms will be so different!

I’m excited to see people role-play during the Prehistoric Party; the Noir Party was fun for that. It’s nice to see people using the party in their own mind.

    -stu, Club Penguin Rewritten administrator

It’s unclear still if things like dinosaur transformations will be implemented, but hopefully there’ll be some more details on that in the near future.

CP Rewritten: PSA Set to be Abolished

    May 2, 2021 /

The Club Penguin Rewritten team have recently stated that they were considering retiring the Penguin Secret Agency, but this has now been confirmed. The organisation will be merged with the Elite Penguin Force, which will perform effectively the same function. It’s worth noting that the PSA HQ will still be available.

Having just one agency is ideal and easier to concentrate on storyline wise, so the [PSA] will be gone and it’ll just be the EPF.

    -stu, Club Penguin Rewritten administrator

Given that the PSA HQ will still be available and the PSA missions are returning, I suspect there may be some confusion about what this change means. In practise, it means very little; the monthly PSA pay-check will probably be ended and the PSA Spy Phone taken away, but the agency will also have no involvement in future events.

There’s also not been much understanding as to the difference between the EPF and the PSA. It’s a long story which goes back many years, but effectively, they’re both spying organisations which perform similar functions.
