CP Rewritten: Devcast #6 – Supporting the NHS
Just a quick little update that the Devcast for supporting the NHS is starting now, at the time of writing this. You can find the stream below, but I will, of course, be posting any news revealed in it later.
The main aim though is to support the NHS. I’ve explained a bit of what that means in this post here, so I’d recommend reading that if you’re confused about what the NHS is or how it operates!
The stream is now over!
If you’re looking to donate to NHS Charities, please remember to ensure a parent or guardian does. Enjoy the stream, and if you’re in the UK, remember: stay home, protect the NHS, save lives.

CP Rewritten: Charity Stream for the NHS
A charity stream is going to be held to raise money for NHS Charities! It’ll occur on April 24th and midday PST, though the cast is still to be decided.
If you donate, but please only do so with parental permission, you’ll receive a Treasure Book code, though there’s no indication as to whether or not there’ll be a new series yet.
I know that the majority of people who read this blog don’t live in the UK, so perhaps won’t understand the NHS system. Here’s a little bit of context: it’s essentially our health service, which is nationalised. In simple terms, people pay their tax, the government invests into the system through a complicated process, and the aim is that the majority of citizens get healthcare free at the point of delivery.
It does get a lot more complicated than this, especially when you include things such as PFI or outsourcing, but that’s just a simple explanation to convey its importance. Whilst it is the responsibility of governing politicians to fund the NHS, supporting NHS charities is something everyone can do, and it can make a huge difference to people’s lives.
Generally, politicians fund the NHS, but individual donations can be made which make a huge difference There’s been a lot of love for the NHS recently – every Thursday at 8pm in the UK, people clap for workers and the institution, but it’s really amazing to see Club Penguin Rewritten doing this!
I’ll let you know when more details are revealed, waddle on!

CP Rewritten: Devcast #5 with Screenhog
Hi everyone, just a quick post to let you know about the Devcast with Screenhog, a former Club Penguin artist, which is taking place! He will be joined by Stu and Joee, two administrators.
Update: the stream is now over! I’ve made separate blog posts about the Card Jitsu code and April party news that were revealed, but it’s still worth listening to if you’re interested in some insights from Screenhog and the team!
Any money raised from this stream will be donated to the Marie Curie charity. For more details, check the announcement post here, otherwise sit back and enjoy!

CP Rewritten: March Devcast with Screenhog
Happy March everyone! 🌻A fifth Devcast has been announced by the Club Penguin Rewritten team, which will feature the artist and musician Screenhog. As you may be aware, Devcasts are essentially podcasts where the team livestream questions & answers, release items, and more!
Like previous Devcasts, this shall be a charity stream, where donating a certain amount of money via the team to the Marie Curie charity will grant you access to the second series of the Treasure Book. I urge you not to donate without parental permission.
This Devcast is going to be more of a commemoration for classic Club Penguin, marking three years since its closure. For those interested, I’d recommend checking out a little archive filled with screenshots of that day here.
It features a very nostalgic screenshot with Screenhog from that final day, that I felt was worth sharing since it’s so heavily associated with the Devcast.
I’ll let you know when more details are revealed about the Devcast! Currently, it’s confirmed for March 30th at midday. Thank you for reading, waddle on!

CP Rewritten: See Soon on Dot Visit
So far, Dot has appeared to be a very elusive mascot, making only visits at Operation Blackout and the Waddle on Party. That’s left many people wondering if she’ll appear soon, and some information has been given on that.
During the recent Devcast, when asked if Jet Pack Guy and Dot’s will visit anytime soon, stu (an administrator) responded saying “you’ll see very soon”.
Dot’s last visit in March 2018
You can view the Dot tracker here and the Jet Pack Guy one here, and I’ll let you know if anything else is revealed! Thank you for reading!

CP Rewritten: Festival of Lights – Sneak Peek & Mascot
In last night’s Devcast by the Club Penguin Rewritten team, three things were revealed about the Festival of Lights, which start on 23rd January!
The first thing was that a sneak peek was released of the Town. It shows the nighttime sky, along with the lights on the Gift Shop. It’s likely that the rest of the island will have this too.
The second thing revealed is that there will be a mascot for the party. Most people are currently suggesting it’ll be Gary, based on the fact that the newspaper associates him heavily with the event.
Lastly, it was revealed that during the event, some beautiful soundtracks will be playing; the team suggested ensuring your tab isn’t muted for this event! As a reminder, the event starts on Thursday, and I’ll let you know if anything else is revealed. Thank you for reading!

A code for a really cool new item has been released on Club Penguin Rewritten, where you can now unlock the eReader! It’s intended to look similar to a mobile device.
To redeem this code, on the server selection page, click “Unlock Items Online” on the top right, and then “I’ve got a code”. Enter the code MILESTONE20 to receive the item!
The code was revealed during the Devcast, and I suspect that it’ll soon be expired, so be sure to unlock it whilst you still can!

CP Rewritten: Devcast for Australian Fires
As you may be aware, a whole bunch of fires are currently raging in Australia – in fact, they’re the size of Belgium when all combined, and the area of smoke is the same as Europe. These are causing a variety of concerns for people living there, and has damaged a lot of wildlife.
In an attempt to raise some awareness for this, the Club Penguin Rewritten team will be holding a charity donation stream and Devcast. For those who aren’t aware, Devcast is a little podcast where the cast discuss stuff.
It will be on January 16th at 9pm GMT. As part of the stream, you will be able to donate to help the fires, and you’ll receive a treasure book code for doing so. I should urge you to please not donate without permission from a parental figure, though these donations are absolutely genuine.
There will also be a new Treasure Book series for when this occurs. I’ll let you know if more is revealed, thank you for reading!

Along with this, a third Devcast will be taking place on March 14th at 9PM GMT (or 2PM PST) with the team! This will be the time where the charity donation system will be set up, similar to the previous charity livestream.
Furthermore, on March 14th, there’ll be a free Red Nose Day item available in-game in celebration. Thank you very much for reading, waddle on!
