CP Rewritten: Rockhopper’s Wreck Giveaway
Earlier today, Rockhopper made his first appearance for the Submarine Party on Club Penguin Rewritten! It was widely expected that some meet-up times would be released in advance, but it appears that they’ll be spontaneous visits for now, but hopefully the tracker should help you with that.

It’s worth noting that Rockhopper’s Wreck Giveaway, the custom background shown above, won’t be returning in a subsequent event, so this party is the only opportunity to achieve it! Rockhopper will make plenty of visits though, and the tracker should help.

CPR posted some scheduled times, and there will be a mix of scheduled and unscheduled visits. It’s a perfect balance, as I can’t be on discord all the time. The next visit is on Zipline on Feb. 25, 6 pm PST, 9 pm ET, 2 am GMT (Feb. 26). For GMT, add 8 hours to the scheduled PST time. He is also coming on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, plus at random, so you will have plenty of chances. Good luck, everyone.

Why does RH look……..so like the first bg he gave ?He does not look like he used to does he ? He had a shiny beard and more,why so different ???

It’s probably because it’s custom artwork drawn by the team rather than taken from classic Club Penguin.

Oh is it ? I am really sorry to be asking this question,but what is the difference between 2020 christmas BG and this one ? And “custom background”,I did not understand.What does that mean ? One last thing,could you please tell me if EPF will have a mission to save the wreck ? I came into CPR in the last visit of RH[Rather lucky logging in moment RH comes too a minute later there] and I got his BG.Now, I saw a background in this post,and I did not understand ; CPR usually takes art from CP ?

No worries! If you met Rockhopper during the Christmas Party in 2020, you’d simply receive a different background that you can wear on your playercard compared to if you meet him during this event. “Custom background” refers to the fact that this background didn’t exist on classic Club Penguin – it has either been created by Club Penguin Rewritten’s designers or artists. In general, most of the artwork on Club Penguin Rewritten is from classic Club Penguin, yes.
As for your question about the EPF, it’s highly unlikely that they’ll be involved in this event since development of the EPF and PSA is not near being concluded yet.

Ah I see. So this is kind of a curious thing, is CPR allowed to use CP images ? My friend told me in May there was some big thing from Disney ??

The legality of Club Penguin Rewritten’s usage of assets owned by Disney is a contentious issue and probably not something I shouldn’t weigh in on.

so i honestly was really annoyed cuz like, it was glitching! It glitch so much my pointer thing glitched, the music glitched out, and it took forever for other tabs to load! But-um……i got his new background at least…..i was in the forest waiting for rockhopper to come out of the cove and obviously other people had the same idea to go there and wait for him. But anyway- i was waiting for a few minutes for him to come out of cove and then he finally came into da forest so thank god that the trackers r a part of ur blog and even exist! 🙂 Quick question, do the odl backgrounds ever come back? Cuz there have only been NEW backgrounds soooo-……

I suppose that the game can become glitchy when it’s super crowded, but I’m glad you managed to meet him. Backgrounds do return, but this specific Rockhopper one won’t after this party.
