CP Rewritten Times: Issue #162 – Music Jam

    June 12, 2020 /

The Music Jam has just begun and the Club Penguin Rewritten Times is spreading some speculation about the next party on the island! It also reveals a bit of information regarding the future updates.

For the best experience, I would recommend reading the paper for yourself online as it always contains a variety of cool things such as artwork, but as always, I will summarise the news revealed.

    This paper reveals:

    • On June 18th, a new pin will be hidden along with additional content and items added to the Music Jam. Some new postcard designs will also be available to send
    • A new Penguin Style will be released on July 2nd and a new Furniture Catalog on July 18th

Something that is pretty interesting though is the shadow hinting at next month’s catalog. It seems to depict a dragon, which could suggest a Medieval Party next month, but it’s definitely too early to know for certain.

Thank you very much for reading, be sure to check back for more of the latest Club Penguin Rewritten news and guides!

Club Penguin Rewritten Music Jam 2020 – Full Guide

    June 12, 2020 /

The Music Jam has begun on Club Penguin Rewritten for two weeks and is filled with new items and content, including some super pretty rooms with a sunset sky!

Both the Penguin Band and Cadence shall visit for this event. You can find Cadence’s tracker here and a member of the Band’s tracker here! For full clarity, each band member’s tracker will show the location of the rest of the band too.

The first thing to note is the new interface which you can find at the top right of any room! Each day at midnight PST, you’ll be able to obtain a new item, varying from backgrounds to furniture. Some really pretty and sparkly items will be obtainable through this interface each day too!

In some of the main outdoor rooms, you’ll also find a catalog in the bottom right of your screen. After flicking through it, you can purchase the All Access Pass in this catalog for fifty coins. I’d recommend doing so as it’ll grant you access to further parts of the party.

There will also be new items available in this catalog for the second week of the party!

At the Dock, you can find DJ Maxx! I should just clarify that this isn’t actually him as a mascot, meaning you won’t get a stamp. Furthermore, DJ Maxx will not be visiting for this party. Despite this, you can still click his penguin to receive his first background that he gave away as a mascot.

With the All Access Pass, you’ll also be able to click the curtain at the Dock to head Backstage.

At the bottom left of the Backstage, you’ll find a box of instruments. When clicking them, the Music Catalog will appear. There’s a variety of instruments which you can purchase here, but there is also a hidden item as well.

If you click the word “Music”, you’ll be able to buy the Drum Sticks and the Blue Snare Drum.

The All Access Pass will also grant you the ability to visit the Night Club Rooftop! It’s accessible from the Dance Lounge. In this room, you can find the Boombox at the top left of the room for free.

Some other exclusive party rooms you can access are the Music Maker that can be found at the corner of the Snow Forts. You can also visit the Casa Fiesta from the Ski Lodge. Once again, these are both some really pretty rooms!

Although that concludes the bulk of the party, there’s a lot of really amazing rooms which I’d recommend exploring! The only other thing to note is that there are some new sweet emojis.

They were originally intended for the concert that was initially planned with this party, but I’m personally hoping they will stay permanently.

There will be more context next week, and we still can look forward to visits from the Penguin Band and Cadence so stay tuned for that! Thank you very much for reading, I hope that this guide helped!

    June 11, 2020 /

A new Furniture Catalog is going to be released later today on Club Penguin Rewritten when the Music Jam is released! A sneak peek has now been shared of this catalog featuring the edition’s cover.

Although seemingly unfinished, it definitely seems to give the impression that there’ll be a lot of summer furniture items, just like in the Penguin Style earlier this month.

I will, of course, share the secrets to this catalog when it has released, so be sure to check back then! Thank you very much for reading!

    CP Rewritten: Chat Filter Updates

    June 11, 2020 /

In case you aren’t aware, Club Penguin Rewritten has a filter to block inappropriate messages, however I know a lot of people will be slightly confused on why it seems like a lot of messages aren’t going through this filter right now.

Essentially, it’s because the team are working on improvements on a more harsh filter which is currently enabled for everyone. The full statement is below, but it’ll be eased for most people soon.

During the Music Jam update, we will be adding our filter update for new members of the game and banned players. New members will be given the filter update for an X amount of days, and if a player is banned they will be given the super safe chat filter X amount of days after their ban is over with.

The filter is an improved version of the one that CPR has used over the years, and will not remove any day-to-day conversation words. It will, however, be more strict to avoid BAD words going through.

Please note that at the moment it is available for everyone on the island. During the Music Jam, it will be only given to a player if they are banned, or new members. It will be removed after a few days for both situations as stated previously.

    -stu, Club Penguin Rewritten administrator

The changes are part of an overhaul to the filter system on Club Penguin Rewritten. Eventually, it is expected that something like this will be added to the game, similar to the method employed on the classic version of the game.

On a little side note, the newspaper will be releasing later today with the Music Jam! Thank you very much for reading, waddle on!

CP Rewritten: Band Instrument Hunt 2020 – Full Guide

    June 5, 2020 /

The Instrument Hunt has begun on Club Penguin Rewritten, ahead of the Music Jam next week! By finding five instruments hidden throughout the island, you can earn a prize, which in this case is a background. In order to find them, you simply need to click the instruments.

    Here are their locations!

    1. Lighthouse – located at the back of the glass bottle containing the Snow Trekker, just above the crate next to the green buoy
    2. Pet Shop – located at the bottom right of the room, right in the very corner next to the box of Puffle O’s
    3. Forest – hidden between the trees behind the rock at the back of the room
    4. Book Room – located at the bottom left of the room, within the plant next to the chair
    5. Ski Lodge Attic – located to the right of the room, behind the crates and boxes near the wooden horse

After finding all of the five instruments, you should be able to click the icon at the top right of your screen and then “Claim Prize”.

By doing so, you’ll receive the Instruments Background for free!

I hope that this guide helped – thank you very much for reading! Be sure to check back for more news and guides, especially with the Music Jam starting next week.

CP Rewritten: Microphone Pin Location (June 2020)

    June 5, 2020 /

A new pin has been hidden on Club Penguin Rewritten until June 18th! You can find this pin at the Lighthouse, just next to the stage and above the piano. It’s in a rather sneaky position, but it’s the Microphone Pin. 🎤

Update – 13th June: now that the Music Jam has begun, the Microphone has been removed from the Lighthouse, so you need to click the speakers at the bottom left instead.

To obtain this pin, click it and then click “Yes”. It will be then be added to your inventory so that you can wear it as well as your stampbook! If someone is blocking it, I would suggest going on a less empty server to obtain it.

CP Rewritten: Overalls Catalog Sneak Peek

    June 4, 2020 /

A new edition of the Penguin Style is due to be released later today on Club Penguin Rewritten, but stu has posted a sneak peek depicting the Straw Hat, Overalls and Gardening Rake!

The sneak peek is from a classic Club Penguin catalog dated to 2009, where all three items were available in the Penguins at Work section, though there is no guarantee that will be the case later today.

As a reminder, both the Penguin Style filled with summer items and the Instrument Hunt will be released later today, so be sure to check back for a guide to that!

CP Rewritten: Further Clarification about the Impact of Resignations

    June 1, 2020 /

I know that a lot of people have been worried after yesterday’s announcements confirming that two out of four administrators had resigned that there was a risk to Club Penguin Rewritten going. As a reminder, hagrid and Joee resigned, leaving both Thorn and stu in-charge.

I really hesitate about writing posts not related to in-game content, but I did want to reassure people that Club Penguin Rewritten is not closing despite the two resignations. Thorn did comment about it yesterday, confirming that the game would close if stu resigned.

“If Stu left, Club Penguin Rewritten would close; I wouldn’t want to run Club Penguin Rewritten alone (nor would I even be able to) or replace him. But as far as I know, [there are] no plans for that at the minute.”

    -Thorn, Club Penguin Rewritten administrator

However, to stress, stu has not revealed any intention of resigning, and it remains my personal view that Disney’s intervention is more likely to provoke closure rather than the team’s willing choice.

Although I hesitate about posts related to these kinds of issues, I completely understand why people are concerned with the ongoing events so I will do my best to keep you updated.
