CP Rewritten: Hagrid and Joee Announce Resignation
Posting about resignations is always a difficult dilemma, but with two administrators having announced theirs within two days, it seems highly within the community’s interest to be aware. Two of the game’s four administrators, hagrid and Joee, have announced their resignation.
This was hagrid’s message to the community.
Hello everyone,
I hope you’re all well and good — especially in times like these.
Today I am announcing my resignation from Club Penguin Rewritten. I will be officially leaving the team, forever. I will also not have any affiliations with Club Penguin Private Servers anymore. I’ve had so much fun the past three years being able to help the legacy of my childhood flash game. I’ve learnt so much and have met so many great people. Sadly though, all things must come to an end. I hope that the Club Penguin community thrives for many more years to come. It’s YOU that makes the community special. This amazing virtual world will always be held deeply within my heart and I will never forget it.
I love every single one of you so much and hope you all take good care of yourselves and others.
Thank you for giving me this opportunity of a lifetime. 🙂
Waddle on,
– Tim/Hagrid
(Just want to clarify, I’m still on good terms with the whole team. Love them. This was an entirely personal decision. Thank you all.)
This was Joee’s message to the community.
Hi, guys!
I’m really sorry to say that today I am resigning from the Club Penguin Rewritten team. I will no longer have any affiliation with Club Penguin Private Servers and I will not be returning.
These have been some of the best three and a half years of my life. What started as a small project became something phenomenal. There have been good times and bad times, but I will always cherish those good memories.
But, I want to thank everyone that has played the game over the years, to the people that have come and gone, the people that have been here from the start and the many people that are still with us today that have shown endless love and support.
Club Penguin never was just the game, it was the community. Without the community it wouldn’t be as special as it is.
I’m now moving on to the next chapter of my life, working on new projects and trying to innovate in new ways. Once again, thank you for everything. Club Penguin will live in my heart until the day I die.
For the last time…
Waddle On,
– Joe
Even with two administrators left, both were under heavy pressure to resign, and there is no doubt that there is uncertainty over what comes next, and I’m afraid that I don’t have the answers.
However, I express significant gratitude to both of them for their dedication to both the community and game, despite all the issues. I hope people will join me in wishing them nothing but the best going forward.
Waddle on!

CP Rewritten Field-Ops: Stadium Security Cameras
Smoothie Smash recently released at the Stadium on Club Penguin Rewritten, but now Gary needs some assistance with installing a new security camera over there! 🥤
Just as a quick reminder, in order to access Field-Ops, you need to go to the EPF HQ and visit the yellow screen on the right. You do not need to go the EPF HQ to complete the Field-Op though, you can just head to the room below.
To complete this, head over to the Stadium, specifically to the edge of the green field, where my penguin is in the image below. Your spy phone will turn green and start bleeping. Click it!
The challenge this time is to Break the Code!. As this varies for each player, I can’t show you exactly how to do this, but I can give you my recommended tactic.
Start your first turn by doing one of each symbol. For your second turn, keep the green shapes but change the yellow shapes to be one apart. Change the red ones to be completely apart, until eventually you end up with four green.
Gary will then thank you, award you some medals, and encourage you to enjoy a smoothie!

CP Rewritten Times: Issue #160 – Instrument Hunt
Some good news has been revealed and Club Penguin Rewritten is receiving an update and newspaper this week! In this edition, the Instrument Hunt was confirmed to return next week, which is something you may recall from 2017.
For the best experience, I would recommend reading the paper for yourself online as it always contains a variety of cool things such as artwork, but as always, I will summarise the news revealed.
This edition reveals:
- The Instrument Hunt, essentially just a scavenger hunt for different instruments, shall begin next on June 4th
- A new Penguin Style will be released on June 4th too, along with a new pin
- On June 11th, a new Furniture Catalog will be released
Thank you very much for reading, be sure to check back for more of the latest Club Penguin Rewritten news and guides!

CP Rewritten: Apple Pin Location
A new pin has been hidden on Club Penguin Rewritten until June 4th! You can find this pin at the Stadium, just next to the Smoothies shack. It is the Apple Pin. 🍎
The pin was hidden a bit later than usual since the last pin, the Tulip, was broken for a bit.
To obtain this pin, click it and then click “Yes”. It will be then be added to your inventory so that you can wear it as well as your stampbook! If someone is blocking it, I would suggest going on a less empty server to obtain it.
Thank you very much for reading, I hope that this guide helped! Be sure to check back for more of the latest Club Penguin Rewritten news and guides!

CP Rewritten: Smoothie Smash Releases
Smoothie Smash can now be played on Club Penguin Rewritten! You’ll find a blender in the smoothies shack at the Stadium, and you can click there to begin the game. 🍊
There’s two different modes: normal and survival. I won’t explain too much here how to play them because there’s much better instructions in-game, but essentially the aim is to squash fruit by using the arrow keys, and also dodge items in survival mode.
Along with the game, sixteen new Smoothie Smash stamps can be found in your stampbook and be earned! Some of them are a real challenge to earn, but it’s a fun game! Smashing fruit is oddly therapeutic for me…
As I know many will be curious, I’ve included an image (from classic Club Penguin) on what to expect when all the stamps have been earned. Credit to Tech70 for it!

CP Rewritten Times: Issue #159 – Smoothie Smash Being Added
There’s been a lot of negative news recently, so I’m really pleased to report on something a bit more positive! Although the Music Jam has been delayed, it was revealed something would replace it, and that has now been announced: Smoothie Smash is coming to the island!
For those unaware, it was originally planned in 2019, and is essentially a mini-game where the aim is to squash fruit whilst your penguin bounces on a conveyor belt. It’s a bit chaotic, but it could be fun too!
For the best experience, I would recommend reading the paper for yourself online as it always contains a variety of cool things such as artwork, but as always, I will summarise the news revealed.
This paper confirms:
- Smoothie Smash will be released later today. Unlike classic Club Penguin where it was at the Coffee Shop, it will be located at the Stadium
- A new pin will also be released today
- The Music Jam has been indefinitely delayed

CP Rewritten: Music Jam Indefinitely Delayed
With all the chaos that has occurred lately, the Club Penguin Rewritten team has decided to postpone the Music Jam to ensure it’s as best as can be when it does finally hit the island.
The party was originally planned for this Thursday, but a new date hasn’t been provided yet and the team isn’t sure when it’ll be released. Furthermore, the original Music Jam page that was on the site has been taken down for the time being.
Although this is unfortunate news since the party looked really exciting with a summer/beach theme, there will be “some type of event” to compensate for the Music Jam’s delay this Thursday, the date on which the party was originally supposed to release!
Once again though, I know the thing on most people’s minds is the status of the game with Disney’s intervention. Unfortunately, I have no further news on this, though I’ll be sure to keep everyone updated.

CP Rewritten: Summer Bash Surprise Event
The reality is that most people reading this will probably be wanting an update on the Club Penguin Rewritten situation. Unfortunately, there’s not much more news I can give: closure is still being denied, and some leaked screenshots have emerged that provide details behind the mass resignation.
But in much lighter news, the Summer Bash has begun on the island! It’s really a surprise event more than anything else; nobody really expected it. You can see it at the Cove.
There’s no items, just some pretty decorations, but it’s still worth checking out! Thank you very much for reading, waddle on!

CP Rewritten: Mass Moderator Resignations Occur
For people waking up, there’s been some further developments in the situation regarding Club Penguin Rewritten. Overnight, all moderators resigned except three.
Update: as of 17th May, just two moderators are left.
Several sources have confirmed that though reasons for this have varied for each moderator, this is primarily in response to the administrative team’s treatment of the moderators and the “environment behind the scenes” rather than Disney’s intervention.
The official word from Club Penguin Rewritten remains that closure is not imminent, although there has been little response on these resignations. To stress though, these resignations don’t correlate to closure.
Regardless of the reasoning, I hope you’ll join me in thanking them and wishing them the best for the future. Once again, I’ll be sure to post any updates here.

Club Penguin Rewritten Issues Statement Regarding Disney’s Intervention
Following the intervention and statement from Disney and the confirmation by the Metropolitan Police of an arrest of a team member who had used Club Penguin Online for horrible things, the Club Penguin Rewritten team have released a long-awaited statement about their plans.
In it, they confirm that there are currently no plans to close.
We’re happy to hear Disney has stepped in to protect the safety of young and vulnerable people from being targeted by a criminal who was running a copy of their defunct game as another CPPS.
Club Penguin Rewritten has no current plans to close but we will be monitoring the situation for any further developments and will inform the community of any updates as soon as we can.
-Club Penguin Rewritten administrationFor context, the British national broadcaster are reporting that Disney has posed an ultimatum to servers to either close within a set deadline or face legal action. It’s welcomed news to hear that Club Penguin Rewritten isn’t closing, although it’s really a mystery what follows next.
Once again, I’ll be sure to keep you updated.
