Club Penguin’s Mural in Haiti

It’s the fourth Monday of the month, so as normal for Mountains Monday, it’s time to share another photo of something which occurred in real life related to Club Penguin! This one is particularly sweet because it relates to a charitable endeavour undertaken in 2010. At the start of the year, there was a terrible earthquake in Haiti which caused a lot of destruction.

A few months after it, the Club Penguin team helped reconstruct infrastructure there. That included playgrounds for children, and for one of those, the team set up a mural based around the island there. You can see it below!

One of the really sweet things about this was that the team actively tried to involve the whole community; penguins were encouraged to submit artwork, and there was a vote with some of the selected options. For example, the artwork above was actually initially submitted by a community member, and you can see it below.

The charitable endeavours of Club Penguin really do convey how much it made the world a better place, so I thought it’d be nice to share today.

Waddle on!
