Penguin Pirates Quiz
Following several requests, as part of the new Mountains Monday schedule for this year, the fourth week of the month will now always contain a five-question quiz on a topic related to Club Penguin! These are very low-stake and simply intended for a bit of fun, but I hope that you’ll still enjoy them.

Given everything currently going on the island, I thought that a fun theme to pick for this month would be Penguin Pirates, so that’s what this month’s quiz is about!

Card Jitsu Cards Giveaway (17/01/22)
It’s time for another Card-Jitsu cards giveaway as part of Mountains Monday! I should stress that, as always, these cards are loose physical ones, meaning they’ll be posted to your address; they can’t be redeemed online. I should also note that these will continue to work just like last year.
For today, you can see all the cards below!

They are the following cards:
- Mine Cave Construction
- Puffle Paddle
- The Test
- Super Exclusives
- Elite Agent (power card)
The Entry Question for this month was to unscramble the letters HSLEKLCLHBEAT which formed The Black Shell, the name of Shellbeard’s ship. Although 71.2% of people answered it correctly, there were a lot less entries than usual, and I recognise many found it challenging.
The giveaway has now ended, and the winner is Earexploder! If you didn’t win, don’t worry; there’ll be plenty of other opportunities in the future. [screenshot]
In future, I’m open to switching the “Entry Challenge” to a “Bonus Challenge”, where answering the question correctly will make you more likely to win rather than be a necessity to enter. This was how it was like before the pandemic, but I realise some people might prefer the current system!
The giveaway will end at 16:30 GMT on Tuesday 18th January 2022. Best of luck if you choose to enter!

Penguins Around the World – January 2022
It’s the start of a new year of Penguins Around the World, in-line with the new Mountains Monday schedule which I announced last week! I’m really looking forward to starting this series again, as I think it’s really fun to share these photos taken all around the world, and I hope you will also consider submitting one!
There are two special photos to share this month! The first was taken by Sweet Ari last month, and it features a whole range of penguins gathered around a Christmas tree, along with some dogs posing for the photo too!

The other image was a beautiful shot taken by Jasmin231 in the province of Saskatchewan in Canada. It features Gary looking out the window on a rainy day! I love the landscape located outside the photo – it seems like the sort of weather which Gary would enjoy assessing…

If you’d like to be featured in the next post:
- Take a photo of something Club Penguin related in front of a nice background – it doesn’t need to be anything too special, even a tree outdoors would be super cool! It must be your own photo, and please don’t include any identifying personal information in the photo (including your own face)
- Email the photo to photo@clubpenguinmountains.com or DM it on Twitter to @CPMountains – please include your penguin name if you would like it to be featured in the blog post!
I’d like to give a huge thank you to Sweet Ari and Jasmin231 for submitting their photos this month, and to you for reading!

Changes to Mountains Monday
At the start of last year, when I first announced a weekly series of posts each Monday, I always said that I’d be happy to keep the ideas under review as new suggestions and feedback was submitted! As such, I wanted to announce a little change to how Mountains Monday will operate in 2022:
- Week 1: a soundtrack from Club Penguin
- Week 2: Penguins Around the World
- Week 3: giveaway for a set of Card-Jitsu cards
- Week 4: short five-question quiz based on Club Penguin
- (Week 5: another giveaway, when this week exists)
I apologise for being a little inactive with posting these last year, but this new and tighter schedule should hopefully ensure that won’t happen again! I intend to start this again from next week, but I should also express my apologies to those who sent a photo in December – that will be published then. If you’d like to participate in Penguins Around the World, you simply need to send a photo of something related to Club Penguin taken in real-life, such as a piece of merchandise or an artwork!
I look forward to starting this series again from next week!

Announcing the Holiday Giveaway 2021
The Holiday Giveaway will be returning to Club Penguin Mountains for a fourth year this month! For those unaware how this works, each day, there’s an opportunity for penguins around the world to win a piece of Club Penguin merchandise which will be mailed to you. In the past, this has lasted a week – but this year, there’s a twist!

Alongside the seven main prizes (one everyday for a week), I’ll also be giving away ten postcards too. This means that up to 17 people will end up receiving something as part of this year’s Holiday Giveaway, which hopefully will result in spreading more festive joy than ever before! For full clarity, here’s the schedule this year:
- 1st December: giveaway for postcards begins (10 winners)
- 3rd December: prize for Day 1
- 4th December: prize for Day 2
- 5th December: prize for Day 3
- 6th December: prize for Day 4
- 7th December: prize for Day 5
- 8th December: prize for Day 6
- 9th December: prize for Day 7
- 10th December: all winners announced and contacted
- 15th December: prizes are sent all around the world!
With the exception of the postcards, which you can enter from 1st December to 10th December, each giveaway will last for 24 hours. In other words, you should check back everyday for the chance to win a new prize! In order to enter, you simply need to visit this blog; there’ll be a new post with a form to enter, which will also contain a Bonus Challenge for an extra entry. If you’re interested, you can check out last year’s Holiday Giveaway prizes here.
Common Questions
Q: How does this work?
A: Like last year, everyday for a week, there’ll be a new prize available to enter on the blog! A new giveaway starts at 6pm GMT each day.Q: How do I enter?
A: Each day, a post will be published with a form that you need to fill out to enter. There’ll also be a bonus question for that prize. If you get it correct, you’ll be entered into the giveaway twice. Please don’t share the answer to the bonus question – it ruins the fun!Q: Can I enter (and win) multiple giveaways?
A: Yep, absolutely! The only exception is that you can only win one postcard. All the other prizes are different, and in theory, you could win all of them if you were very lucky. I’d recommend entering for each prize everyday since that increases your chance of winning something, unless there’s a prize you don’t want/already have.Q: Is this related to Club Penguin Rewritten?
A: No, these giveaways are not related to Club Penguin Rewritten, meaning there are not any in-game prizes. Instead, the prizes are real objects that will be posted to you. The Holiday Giveaway can be funded due to the advertisements on this blog, and it’s an attempt to spread some festive joy each year, while also expressing my gratitude for all the support over the last year!Terms and Conditions
When participating in this giveaway, please have your parents’ permission if you’re a minor, as this is a giveaway for physical items. Although we cannot guarantee that the item will arrive, proof of postage will be sent to the winner to show it was posted, and any issues with the postal service will tried to be dealt with in the most reasonable way (though that likely won’t involve a replacement), but this has never been an issue in previous merchandise giveaways. No cash or other merchandise alternative is available. Please also only enter once per address (so please don’t enter twice, even as a sibling!), and ensure you agree with our Privacy Policy. I reserve the right to cancel/disclose/change anything at any given point.
I hope that it makes sense, there’ll be more details on each individual post as the day comes, but if you have any questions, let me know! Best of luck, and happy holidays!

Card Jitsu Cards Giveaway (15/11/21)
As always for the third Monday of the month, it’s time for another Card-Jitsu cards giveaway! I should stress that, as always, these cards are loose physical ones, meaning they’ll be posted to your address; they can’t be redeemed online.
For today, you can see all the cards below!

They are the following cards:
- Jet Pack Pilot
- Seafarer’s Gown
- Everyday Phoning Facility
- Igloo Items
- Knight’s Quest (power card)
The giveaway has now closed! The winner is pat487 – congratulations, and please check your email! If you didn’t win, don’t worry; there will always be plenty more giveaways.
The challenge for this month was quite tough, and only 42% of people answered it correctly – there were also a lot less entries than usual compared to previous months, so I can only assume many people struggled. It was to figure out which room the image below was taken in.

The answer was the Mine – it’s part of the helmets next to Puffle Rescue.

The giveaway will end at 16:30 GMT on Tuesday 16th November. Best of luck if you choose to enter!

Penguins Around the World – October 2021
For the past few months, I’ve been trying something new by posting your photos submitted from all across the world! In case you missed it, you can view some previous photos here, but I’m pleased to share some more really beautiful ones which have been submitted over the last month.
The first two shots have been taken in Victoria, Australia by Snowpoppy19 and Piplup96! I think they’re absolutely adorable; it’s like the puffle is hiding from the penguin in the first one, and playing together in the second one. The drawing of Cadence is another beautiful piece by Lakra, which looks amazing! You can zoom into each photo by clicking them.
I realise that this is difficult to continue as a series without new submissions, but if you’d like to be featured in the next post:
- Take a photo of something Club Penguin related in front of a nice background – it doesn’t need to be anything too special, even a tree outdoors would be super cool! It must be your own photo, and please don’t include any identifying personal information in the photo (including your own face)
- Email the photo to photo@clubpenguinmountains.com or DM it on Twitter to @CPMountains – please include your penguin name if you would like it to be featured in the blog post!
I’d like to give a huge thank you to Snowpoppy19, Piplup96 and Lakra for submitting photos this month – they’re really amazing!

Club Penguin’s Herbert Sneak
It’s time for a new tune as part of Mountains Monday! Given that it’s October, a lot of people might be expecting something spooky, but I’ve decided to share a slightly different track. I think that it works well since it’s still a very ominous tune. It’s titled “Herbert Sneak”, and you can hear it below!
This was played at Operation Tri-umph in 2016, but it’s heavily based on a similar track titled “One Very Grumpy Polar Bear” that was part of Herbert’s Revenge, so you might be familiar with it. It frequently tends to appear whenever Herbert is plotting a nefarious scheme!

As you can tell, it’s not quite associated with the Halloween Party, but I hope that you’ll like the sinister tune given this month. Thank you very much for reading!

Penguins Around the World – September 2021
For the past two months, I’ve been trying something new by posting your photos submitted from all across the world! In case you missed it, you can check out last month’s photos here, but I’m pleased to share some new ones now!
These three photos are beautiful shots taken by Riccowed in Stellenbosch, which is in Cape Town, South Africa! It’s quite special seeing a penguin and a goose both together in the same shot…
In addition, Lakra shared an amazing photo of a penguin which they drew! The colours are amazing, and it’s extremely well-drawn.

I’d like to give a huge thank you to Riccowed and Lakra for submitting photos this month!
