No More Countries to Beta Club Penguin Island & More

    January 18, 2017 /

“There will not be anymore countries added until worldwide release”, Megg has confirmed. Tomisino1.com reported the news of the meet-up last night and proved that no other countries will officially be able to beta test the game.

    cpinocountries

This suggests that the original open beta was scrapped and replaced with the geo-beta. Personally, I think that it’s better that the game launches quicker however I am a bit biased as I’ve been testing the game myself. We also received another reminder that there will be new content at launch with some mascots travelling over to the new island.

Furthermore, Megg has informed us next week we will receive a big update. I think that this is the Club Penguin Island worldwide release date BUT I’ve heard rumours that this could be the announcement of classic Club Penguin closing.

I’d like to thank Tomisino1 for this information. You can check out his blog here.

My Opinion and Megg’s Opinion on Alternative Methods to play Club Penguin Island

    December 19, 2016 /

As you may know, this website has posted a tutorial on how to play Club Penguin Island even if you’re not in Australia or New Zealand. The fact that many people are doing this has angered some, however I think that it’s completely okay. We’ve also just heard an opinion from Megg, thanks to the screenshot which Nina1059 shared.

    Thanks Nina1059 for this image

Megg has said on behalf of Disney that they “don’t recommend” players doing it. At the end of the day, it appears she doesn’t really mind and that there will be no consequences for those who do use alternative methods than downloading it off the App Store or the Google Play Store. This afternoon, she liked a tweet saying that the team don’t mind people using such methods. She also liked a tweet which said that this is only being said so that the team can’t be blamed if anything goes wrong.

In my opinion, I don’t think it’s a bad thing. My friend reported a major bug to the Club Penguin Island team today which meant you could get unlimited XP and he’s not from Australia or New Zealand. I, along with many others, have purchased membership and that only helps the game get more money. We’re giving constructive feedback and reporting bugs. What more could you ask for?

Besides, without other players, it would be impossible to do even a community daily challenge. There are less than 100 downloads off the Google Play Store and only one review on the App Store. The closed beta allowed two thousand players to play and saying that the Geo Beta should have less players is ridiculous.

What’s your thoughts on this? Are you a player who, like myself, is currently playing? Or do you prefer to wait? I understand where some people are coming from, however we are helping the game!

How to Download Club Penguin Island in ANY Country

    December 15, 2016 /

Club Penguin Island is out as we speak for those in Australia and New Zealand but many players are wondering how to download the game. In this post, I’m going to teach you how to download the game in any country on Android 4.4 and above.

Update: With Club Penguin Island’s closure, this guide seems to be somewhat relevant again. Please note the following if you still intend to use it:

    • This only works for Android devices
    • You no longer need a VPN, just download the APK and prompt the install by clicking the notification

    Step 1:

    wp-1481837161509.png

To start the process, you need to visit this site and click “download .xapk”. The site is extremely trustworthy. I’ve used it myself in the past and it’s got high ratings. It is essential you do this on your Android device.

    Link: https://apkpure.com/store/apps/details?id=com.disney.clubpenguinremix_goo

Do not open it but continue the following steps whilst it is downloading.

    Step 2:

    apkpure

Next go to this link and start the download of “APKPure”. Once again, ensure you are doing this on your Android device.

    Link: https://apkpure.com/apkpure-app.html?icn=aegon&ici=image_home

Whilst this is downloading, complete step three.

    Step 3:

    wp-1481837161475.png

Next you need to go to the Google Play Store and download “VPN – Hola Free VPN”. Without this app, you’ll get a notice saying that Club Penguin Island isn’t in your country and ultimately, you won’t be able to play. This is a trustworthy and free app which I’ve used for years.

    Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.hola

    Step 4:

Wait for Club Penguin Island to finish downloading. If you open it, chances are it’ll say that there’s no compatible application to run the file. Don’t worry because the next few steps fixes that.

    Step 5:

    wp-1481837161470.png

Install “APKPure”.  Once it has installed, open the app.

    Step 6:

On the top right of your screen, there will be three lines. Click that button.

    Step 7:

Click “APK/XAPK Management”. If it says “CP Island”, hit that install button. If it doesn’t, you may need to complete step one again, like I did.

DO NOT OPEN THE APP ONCE IT HAS INSTALLED

    Step 8:

    wp-1481837267341.png

Next open the Hola VPN which we downloaded in step three. Find CP Island in your list of apps. Click it and the image above should appear. Where it says “Browsing From” click the flag and change it to Australia.

    Step 9:

Click “OPEN”. You may be asked to give Hola a permission on older Android devices. Do so.

    Step 10:

You’ve now got access to Club Penguin Island! Ensure you repeat step 8 and 9 every time you want to play the game. It can be turned off in your notifications bar.

If you live in Australia or New Zealand, you can download the app here. I’ve been testing out the game and it is SO MUCH FUN! I can’t wait to see you on the new island and now you can!

Club Penguin Island Geo-Beta DEFINITELY Today

    December 15, 2016 /

Yesterday Megg explained the reason for the delay in releasing the Club Penguin Island geo-beta and also said that it would launch this week. Well, I’m extremely pleased to say that it is now definitely today! The team has liked a series of tweets on their official Twitter account which says “like this if the beta is today”.

    geobeta

I’m so excited for the launch! It’s also great to know that there’ll no longer be a need of writing posts informing everyone that the beta has been delayed. Be sure to stay tuned to Club Penguin Mountains for the latest news!

Club Penguin Island Geo-Beta Delays Explained and Date Given

    December 14, 2016 /

There has been a lot of frustration of the fact that the geo-beta for Club Penguin Island has been delayed a lot, however Megg has explained the reason why it has been delayed. She’s also promised that the geo-beta will definitely be out this week though most likely tomorrow.

    bug

Megg has announced that there’s a bug with Club Penguin Island memberships and that they’re working with Apple to fix it. Although the beta will “most likely” be tomorrow, it was “hopefully” going to be today and yesterday fingers were crossed for the geo-beta. However, at least we know for sure that it’s this week despite these bugs! I’m also glad Megg did tell us all about this!

Club Penguin Island Geo-Beta NOT Today

    December 14, 2016 /

Yesterday Megg announced that the beta would hopefully be out today but that is no longer the case. A player sent a message to the Club Penguin team asking them to like their tweet if the beta wasn’t today and the team did.

    likes

I’d like to remind everyone that this is not the fault of the Club Penguin team! They’ve done everything which they can and now they need to wait for Apple to approve the app. I’m also grateful that we were informed of this as soon as Megg started work. The team could have easily not told us and we would be waiting the whole day for nothing.

With all luck, Apple should hopefully approve the app by tomorrow. As you may also see, February is also a brand new party!

Club Penguin Island: Android Ready but Beta Tomorrow

    December 13, 2016 /

Although originally planned to launch today, the geo-beta for Club Penguin Island will “hopefully” launch tomorrow according to Megg.

    geo-beta-tomorrow

The reason for this is because apps need to be approved by Apple before going live in the App Store. Android has already been approved, however the team still need to wait for Apple. They have done everything which can be done and now it’s just up to Apple!

“Fingers Crossed” for Club Penguin Island Beta Today

    December 13, 2016 /

For the last three days, there’s been virtually no Club Penguin Island news as we are all waiting patiently for the geo-beta to launch. We’ve been informed that it would be live this week, however Megg has suggested in the comments of the blog that it’ll be today. Please bare in mind that the following message was written yesterday.

Megg, i have a question, the Geo beta coming Today or tomorrow? -Eduarditho

Our fingers are crossed for tomorrow! -Megg

This is epic news! There are workarounds to get the Club Penguin Island app even if you don’t live in Australia or New Zealand but there’s been some debate if people should use such methods. Either way, it’s a beta we can all look forward too!

We’ll be covering the whole story on Club Penguin Mountains!

Club Penguin Island Beta Doesn’t Contain All Features

    December 8, 2016 /

Many players have been annoyed over the fact they feel that everything there is to do on Club Penguin Island has been shared by beta-testers and there’s nothing new for them. Well, this isn’t true! Megg has replied to my question on the What’s New Blog where I ask her if there are features which have been developed but have not been shared.

    my-question

This confirms that there are new features which have been developed but no-one has got to try them yet! This means that there will be new things for EVERYONE on the island to do, whether you are a beta-tester or not! There’s also some more features which are in development as we speak!

I’d like to thank Megg for answering multiple questions of mine on the What’s New Blog!

Club Penguin Island: Geo-Beta CONFIRMED for Tomorrow

    December 7, 2016 /

2nd Update: The geo-beta will no longer be tonight. Megg has announced that it will be out within a week though.

Update: The geo-beta is confirmed to be released today.

Megg has made a post addressing the controversy over the beta testing. It’s not very detailed but it confirms that the testing was rigged and it reminds us to be more positive.

In the comments of that post, Megg has answered the following question.

I reckon that tomorrow the geo-beta will either go live or a date will be given as to when it goes lives. This is exciting news and I’ll try to inform you as to how you could download the app even if you don’t live in Australia or New Zealand.
