CP Rewritten: Jet Pack Guy Begins Visiting for Festival of Lights
View Jet Pack Guy tracker here
Jet Pack Guy has joined Gary in visiting for the Festival of Lights, with both mascots planned to make more appearances throughout the event! Although the tracker always had him marked as Possible due to the fact that he visited for the Festival of Lights last year, this hadn’t been confirmed, but he made an appearance on Zipline today.
His background is the same as the one available last year, titled Jet Pack Guy’s Eclipse Giveaway. For all the details relating to this, including about future visits, I’d recommend checking the tracker here! If you weren’t able to meet him yet, don’t worry as both mascots will be making plenty more visits before the event ends.

CP Rewritten: Gary’s Eclipse Giveaway
Gary has begun visiting for the Festival of Lights! Although he’s only made one visit so far on the server Marshmallow, he will be making plenty more until the party ends next week. The team have stated that there won’t be any scheduled visits, and all of his appearances will be spontaneous, so I’d recommend keeping an eye on the tracker for his location.
It should be noted that Gary is visiting with a new background for this event, titled Gary’s Eclipse Giveaway. This hasn’t been available before, but it features some of the lanterns from the Festival of Lights, alongside the night sky attributed to this event.
If you haven’t met Gary yet, don’t worry! He’ll be making plenty of visits still, and I’d recommend checking the Gary Tracker for the best chance of meeting him.
Good luck!

CP Rewritten: Festival of Lights 2021 – Full Guide
The Festival of Lights has begun on Club Penguin Rewritten! It will last for a week, with Gary also confirmed to visit for the event – you can find his tracker here.
Although there is one free item, the main aspect of this event is that the island, previously consumed by darkness, now has some beautiful lights decorating it. You can find all sorts of lights in the vast majority of outdoor rooms, varying from Christmas trees in the Town to floating lanterns at the Ski Hill. However, you definitely want to head to the Forest in order to access the Hot Air Balloon.
Once you enter the Hot Air Balloon Ride, after a few minutes of travelling across the island, you’ll be taken to the Tallest Mountain. By reaching this point, you’ll receive the Mountaineer stamp if you haven’t already. This is a similar room to last time, and it has a couple of benches at the top!
It’s also the location where you can find the only free item for this event: the Lighthouse Costume that’s located at the bottom right of the room.
It’s worth noting that Gary will still be visiting throughout the event, but other than that, the rest of the Festival of Lights is focused on the decorations across the island! However, you may also want to the new pin and the recent code.

CP Rewritten: Gary to Visit for Festival of Lights
There’s been some speculation as to why Gary hasn’t visited for the Halloween Party yet, especially given he’s visited each year in the past. However, this reason has now been confirmed, with the Club Penguin Rewritten team confirming that he’ll be visiting for the Festival of Lights next month instead of now.
Gary won’t be visiting for [the] Halloween [Party], he’ll be visiting for the Festival of Lights.
-stu, Club Penguin Rewritten administratorHerbert will be continuing to visit throughout the Halloween Party though, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for him! Thank you very much for reading – be sure to check back for more of the latest mascot news!

CP Rewritten: Festival of Lights to Occur in November
The Festival of Lights has been confirmed to occur in November on Club Penguin Rewritten! This event was held a year ago, and it was liked for its night sky and the ability to visit the Tallest Mountain, though it lacked other decorations or activities at the time.
Bizarrely, the team have implied that this event was the outcome of the community consultation in April. However, they previously stated that the Island Adventure Party was the event which the community requested following that consultation, though it would be indefinitely delayed after its planned release in August was scrapped. I’m not sure what that means for the future of that event now.
This means that the schedule for the rest of the year is now clear:
- September: The Fair
- October: Halloween Party
- November: Festival of Lights
- December: Holiday Party

CP Rewritten: Festival of Lights – Full Guide
The Festival of Lights is on now on Club Penguin Rewritten until January 30th! It’s a fairly small event in terms of the activities available, so this is a short guide, but night has consumed the island, which is always beautiful. 💡
Jet Pack Guy is visiting with a new background for this event – his tracker can be found here.

CP Rewritten Times: Issue #142 – Jet Pack Guy?
A new edition of the Club Penguin Rewritten Times has been released, revealing a bit of information about the Festival of Lights that begins tomorrow, along with providing confirmation with the dates of the 3rd Anniversary Party.
For the best experience, I would recommend reading the paper for yourself online as it always contains a variety of cool things such as artwork, but as always, I will summarise the news revealed.
This paper reveals:
- The Festival of Lights begins tomorrow, where we will be able to explore the island through a Hot Air Balloon.
- A mascot is already confirmed to visit for this event, and it seems extremely likely that will be Jet Pack Guy, as the paper confirms a “secretive penguin” will be back who is associated with jetpacks (who else could it be?!)
- View Jet Pack Guy Tracker
- From February 9th to February 13th, the Anniversary Party to celebrate Club Penguin Rewritten turning three years old will occur
- On the 30th January, a new pin will be released
