CP Rewritten: Festival of Lights – Full Guide

The Festival of Lights is on now on Club Penguin Rewritten until January 30th! It’s a fairly small event in terms of the activities available, so this is a short guide, but night has consumed the island, which is always beautiful. 💡

Jet Pack Guy is visiting with a new background for this event – his tracker can be found here.

There’s only really two bits to cover for this event. Firstly, a free item: the Eclipses Glasses, which you might remember from the eclipse in 2018, has returned. It is at the Snow Forts in a little crate.

The main element of this party though is the journey to the Tallest Mountain. In order to do this, you’ll need to head to the Forest where you can waddle into the Hot Air Balloon.

Once you enter this balloon, you’ll be able to fly upwards. It’ll take a bit time, and there is a clock on the right to when you’ll land, though I should note that it’s quite laggy. You can press = (thanks matihood1!) to reduce lag.

The flight’s background on the balloon is always wonderful though! Once you arrive, you’ll be brought to a room where you can watch the island eclipse whilst sitting on the benches with some other penguins.

There’s also an exit to the right.

Before you go though, make sure you collect the second and final free item of this event! You can find the Jetpack at the bottom right of the room.

It hasn’t been available for a while and it has a little animation, so don’t forget to collect it!

There’s a lot of the island to explore, such as the fireworks at the Ski Hill, but that concludes the guide to this party! I hope that this helped, thank you very much for reading!

Waddle on!

  1. When you reach the highest mountain, you earn the Mountaineer stamp. But yesterday when I went to the highest mountain I didn’t get the stamp, then today when I entered an empty server, I went back up to the highest mountain and won the stamp

  2. A small note. It’s not actually “+” that you press. It’s “=”. There are keyboard layouts out there where those two signs are not on the same button so it’s important to know the difference. Also, as a side note, pressing “-” works just as well.
