Fact Friday #6: Why Penguins?

Hey everyone,

Have you ever wondered why the creators of Club Penguin decided to use penguins as the main animal? Why isn’t our island known as “Club Platypus”? In an interview with Billybob, we know why Aunt Arctic doesn’t look like this.

The reason why the main character is penguins is because Billybob stated the penguins are like a community. They need to work together to survive, which is what the idea of Club Penguin is about.

However, lions also do this. Why not Club Lion? Well, penguins are also really fun! They’re clumsy and they slip on the ice.
