Club Penguin Island App Icon Changes
The Club Penguin Island app has received multiple icon changes but the interesting thing is that we’re not sure why. You could assume that there’s an update but there isn’t. Furthermore, players are getting different icons. Take a look!
The image above is the one I get. I personally prefer this icon a lot over the current one, but Captain J153 gets a different one of a character playing the keytar.
I also really like this image a lot! However, if that’s not confusing enough, Flip Flap15 gets an image of two penguins hanging out. Personally, I don’t like this image very much.
My guess is that the image of the app depends on your location, though I hope this changes. The top two really advertise the game much better than the bottom two and the icon is the first thing a new player sees.
This is interesting though, why the sudden change? Could we be nearing a geo-beta update, even though this was dismissed by Megg? All I can hope is that we get the keytar image or the tube image. Which is your favourite?

I like all of them, but I the tube icon is my favorite.
Waiting for CPI is so difficult, haha. I’m considering getting my own android or iPhone so I can get the game early.

I understand. I would reccommend getting an Android over an iPhone BUT I wouldn’t get it purely for CPI. The game will launch in March which isn’t too far away, though I understand how patient you’ve been. We’ve all been waiting years for this, and I agree, an open beta would have been better.

Which is cheaper for brand new? I know you live in a different country than me, but perhaps it’ll be a similar story in my area.

Android is the device that tends to be cheaper, and in my opinion, better!
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 which is my only smartdevice, but if you’re looking for something that can play CP Island, you could look at a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4.

There are so many Android devices! In my opinion, the one which is the best value for money are Samsung ones.

Do you know if you’ll still be able to buy membership in CPI if you get it early on iOS instead?

From what I’ve heard, getting membership before worldwide launch on iOS is not at all an easy process. You’ll need to buy a Canadian or Australian App Store voucher online and redeem it on THAT account, essentially meaning you’ll never have Club Penguin Island on your real iTunes account.

On Android it automatically converts to your currency, but you’ll need a credit card.

Hey, I finally got CPI on an iPad, thanks to my mom.
By the way, is it possible to activate the 7 day free trial for membership easily on iOS? I’m planning to use it sometime in February.

Nice! Activating the trial isn’t easy as you need to insert payment method first. Unlike Android, credit cards don’t automatically convert to your currency on iOS.
