Disney Issues Statement on Club Penguin Takedowns

In some more breaking news, Disney have issued a statement on the Club Penguin takedown notices. It mainly refers to another server which has been closed down today, Club Penguin Online, after authoritative and extensive allegations.

Child safety is a top priority for the Walt Disney Company and we are appalled by the allegations of criminal activity and abhorrent behaviour on this unauthorised website that is illegally using the Club Penguin brand and characters for its own purposes.

We continue to enforce our rights against this, and other, unauthorised uses of the Club Penguin game.

One man involved with Club Penguin Online from London has been arrested and is on bail due to the severity of the allegations, according to the Metropolitan Police. I’ll post any updates as soon as they’re revealed, but this is a story that is now making headlines as well.

Once again, Club Penguin Rewritten is denying that closure is imminent. It is claimed Disney has posed a deadline for its closure, with the threat of legal action.
