Club Penguin’s Treetop Treasures
As it is the first week of the month, it’s time for another Mountains Monday post, so I’ve selected a new tune which was themed around pirates, and probably suitable for the Island Adventure Party: Treetop Treasures!
This might be one which you remember from Club Penguin Island since it was used for the adventures there, but it was also present in the Pirate Party of 2014. It’s a nice tune that’s slightly calming though, so I hope that you’ll enjoy it!

Club Penguin’s Mural in Haiti
It’s the fourth Monday of the month, so as normal for Mountains Monday, it’s time to share another photo of something which occurred in real life related to Club Penguin! This one is particularly sweet because it relates to a charitable endeavour undertaken in 2010. At the start of the year, there was a terrible earthquake in Haiti which caused a lot of destruction.
A few months after it, the Club Penguin team helped reconstruct infrastructure there. That included playgrounds for children, and for one of those, the team set up a mural based around the island there. You can see it below!

One of the really sweet things about this was that the team actively tried to involve the whole community; penguins were encouraged to submit artwork, and there was a vote with some of the selected options. For example, the artwork above was actually initially submitted by a community member, and you can see it below.

The charitable endeavours of Club Penguin really do convey how much it made the world a better place, so I thought it’d be nice to share today.

Club Penguin’s Rock the Boat Quartet
As it is the first week of the month, it’s time for another Mountains Monday post, so I’ve selected a new tune which was initially themed around summer: Rock the Boat Quartet!
It’s a slightly longer one, but it sounds very different at different bits. Above all though, for a lot of people, it might hold some nostalgic memories from around summer 2014 since this was one of the most popular choices for Igloo Music at the time – you could hear it all over the island! This tune was associated with the Music Jam of that year, including other summer-themed events.

On a completely separate note, you may have noticed that this blog has been a little quiet in the last week. Although there hasn’t been much news, I might not be approving comments as much this week since it’s Exam Week, so everything is a little hectic!
I hope that you like it, waddle on!

Club Penguin’s Real Puffle Skateboards
For Mountains Monday this week, it’s time to feature something related to Club Penguin in real-life! Often, that can feature a piece of merchandise, but most products except membership cards were retired by 2013.
However, in 2014, the Club Penguin team attempted to restart merchandise production as part of a partnership with an online store. The range of products included phone cases, hoodies, and also skateboards! These weren’t sold for long, and it was widely perceived as a failure due to the extremely high prices which the products sold at. That being said, some of the designs were visually impressive!

The skateboard featuring the rainbow puffle even made it in-game too as part of the School & Skate event in 2014, which also introduced the skatepark to Club Penguin. I remember finding it a little peculiar to see the emphasis of skateboards added to Club Penguin at the time, but it was probably perceived as a trend that could’ve been profitable.
As part of that, the Club Penguin team also revealed a “digital short” featuring the skateboard. In reality, it was really just an advertisement, but it was rare for a video similar to this to be released.
The expensive pricing of these skateboards largely resulted in them being forgotten despite the emphasis that the Club Penguin team tried placing on them, but I thought they’d be fun to explore in a Mountains Monday post, so I hope that you enjoyed reading!

Club Penguin’s PSA & EPF Merger
Given all the talk about the EPF and PSA lately, I thought it’d be a little fun to use this Mountains Monday to consider the history of the two agencies! Neither were actually formed specifically to combat Herbert; he arrived to the island a few years early, having floated on an iceberg seeking a warm and peaceful land. Instead, after a perilous journey, he found Club Penguin! Much to his disappointment, it was cold and noisy; this became a grievance which made him resort to evil…

However, the Elite Penguin’s Force first mission was not to combat Herbert! In 2008, the organisation was formed under orders from the Director. They became involved in rescuing Gary after his mysterious disappearance, and defeating the villainous Ultimate Proto-Bot 10000. It’s never been known for certain what prompted this decision to split the organisations, even though they remained closely linked together. Some theories suggest it was a “back-up”, but that prompts the idea that the Director was familiar with an active plot against the PSA. Other fan theories suggest it was necessary due to avoid corruption and leaks orchestrated from within the PSA.

Protobot: the EPF’s first big opponent In May 2010, Herbert successfully managed to achieve his aim: Rookie had accidentally provided him with a PSA spy phone, and Herbert used the phone’s teleportation technology to plant a popcorn bomb in the PSA HQ. It would become the last event which the PSA would be involved in. The popcorn bomb exploded a few minutes later, irreversibly damaging all technology. It was following this explosion that the Director ordered the PSA and the EPF to be merged; all PSA agents were transferred to the EPF, and the PSA was effectively abolished.

Popcorn explosion of May 2010 There was never any inquiry into how the Popcorn Explosion could’ve been prevented, and it was largely forgotten about until Herbert struck again as part of Operation Blackout in 2012. His ability to destroy the EPF then resulted in the Command Room being destroyed for several years! But by then, the EPF and the PSA had already been irreversibly split.
This post was a little different, even for Mountains Monday, but I hope that you still enjoyed it!

Journey to the Prehistoric
Happy May! As usual for the first Monday of the month, I wanted to share a Club Penguin tune with you. Given that the Prehistoric Party is set to occur this month, the one which I’ve selected is Journey to the Prehistoric. Although it feels slightly prehistoric, it also has an adventurous feel associated more heavily with the Medieval Party, so I thought it’d be a fun one to share!
When it first occurred, the Prehistoric Party was exciting and took a lot of people by surprise! Even though the prehistoric had been explored in some previous Stage plays, it was the first time that there was such a comprehensive plot for a party that involved time-travel.

Jungle at the Prehistoric Party It’ll be interesting to see if this tune appears at the Prehistoric Party on Club Penguin Rewritten later this month, but I hope that you like it! Thank you very much for reading.

Club Penguin’s Coral Waters
Hi everyone! Unfortunately, the Mountains Monday post planned for yesterday didn’t publish because I made an error with the timing when scheduling it, but I still wanted to share the tune which was meant to be posted. It’s called Coral Waters, and it’s from the Pirate Party which was held on Club Penguin in 2014.
It’s fairly short, but it is has a soothing and calming feel to it which seemed appropriate for Spring and with the sakura background currently shown on this site! 🌸

I hope that you like it, waddle on!
