Easter Egg Hunt 2021
In a couple of days, it’ll be Easter, so I thought that it’d be a little fun to hold an Easter Egg Hunt here on Club Penguin Mountains! Similar to last year, there’ll be a merchandise prize that will be mailed to your address, but this hunt will actually take place around the whole site. I’ll explain the details, but firstly, here’s the prize!
The prize is a brand new Club Penguin Spy Pack Kit, and there’ll also be some cards included. The pack contains a variety of things, particularly a case and stylus intended for the Nintendo DS, but it can really be used for anything, and it adds nicely to any Club Penguin collection! You can see an image of the prize below, and it’ll be mailed to the winner.

There are five eggs hidden throughout the site! They could be on the homepage or any other page, but not on any old posts; to clarify, pages are the links which you can access from the top navigation menu, such as the Playercard Generator or any of the Mascot Trackers. Here’s how it works:
- Look for the eggs below on the site using the riddles beneath the image
- If you see one of the eggs below somewhere across the site, click it!
- Type out the secret word which will appear after clicking the egg into the form at the bottom of this post

However, I recognise there’s many pages, so here’s some hints! (Location of each egg)
- You’ll find this egg somewhere to do with drilling (Earning Coins page)
- This egg is located next to something which has been missing for quite a while! (Field-Ops widget on the sidebar)
- Find a stack of books, and you’ll see this egg there (Become a PSA Agent page)
- This egg is located where Sensei might’ve been… (Become a Ninja page)
- You may be checking this page regularly already, waiting for them to appear, but where is this egg located there? (Dot Tracker)

Winner: The winner of the Easter Egg Hunt was MeredithCW – congratulations! If you didn’t win, don’t worry; there’ll always be more competitions in the future! [screenshot]
Statistics: 84.1% of the 297 entrants successfully found all five eggs!
The Eggs:
The winner will be revealed on April 4th! I should also note that, assuming the winner is international, the prize might take a few weeks to arrive after that since it’s a parcel and it’ll be sent through International Economy.
Good luck!

Club Penguin’s Real Coffee Shop
As usual on the fourth Monday of the month, it’s time to share a photo of something related to Club Penguin! This one was taken at the Kelowna HQ in Canada, and it shows a Coffee Shop.
However, this Coffee Shop has always been particularly special to many because it’s based on the room from the island. A lot of the decorations, such as the colours and some of the printings on the wall, were intended to replicate it. It also contains some other impressive details too.
These photos were actually taken during the Club Penguin Media Summit in 2013, where some local and national journalists were invited to the HQ. Thank you very much for reading, waddle on!

Club Penguin’s Mascots in Igloos
Last month, due to a bug, some players may have had the opportunity to enter Aunt Arctic’s igloo when she visited! As such, for today’s Mountains Monday, I wanted to share two things which some people might remember about mascots in igloos.
The first was the way some penguins were able to enter igloos of mascots, especially in 2013! It used to be a pretty big thing back then, and it was essentially just achieved through spam clicking their playercard. Although they were almost never decorated, mascots used to enter the igloo right before logging off.

However, the other exciting thing to do with mascots and igloos from that time was the ability to have mascots in your own igloo! This was a glitch that required you to have them on your Friends List (but due to a bug, this was very easy to achieve) and you’d just need to click them when changing your igloo.
Although nobody else could see the mascots, it did lead to some very cool screenshots!

Club Penguin’s Ruby and the Red Ruby Tune
For this month’s tune, I’ve decided to pick the theme tune from the Ruby and the Red Ruby Stage play! Even though I’ve already selected a track from a Stage play earlier in the year, I’ve picked another one because I think it fits really nicely with the vibes of the Noir Party due to occur this month.

It’s also one of the few tracks from the island which have that lovely mysterious feel, and that’s consistent with the plot of the play which involved a detective case. I hope that you enjoy it, and happy March! 🌻

Club Penguin’s Argentinian Office
In the past for Mountains Monday, whenever I’ve shared images from a Club Penguin office, it’s mainly been from the headquarters in Canada. However, there were several throughout the world, and there’s some impressive photos from the office in Buenos Aires, located in Argentina! I wanted to share two of those today.
The first one is simply a picture of two doors, but the decoration on them seems really creative, as it depicts different Club Penguin characters! The other image from the Argentinian office was a photo of an impressive puffle mural.

I hope that you enjoyed reading this post!

Club Penguin’s Photo Mashup
For today’s Mountains Monday, I wanted to share something which wasn’t actually released on the Club Penguin website, but rather the Disney one! It was released almost exactly ten years ago, but it was retired a couple years later. The feature which I’m referring to is Photo Mashup.

This was effectively a small photo editing software online, except it only allowed you to work with Club Penguin-themed things; you could drag and drop penguins and puffles into your images, and include things such as chat bubbles or emotes.
Due to this, people were able to design all sorts of things! They included wallpapers and collages, but the ability to use speech bubbles also led to a large number of people attempting to create comics with this tool.

This was part of a quite terrible comic which I made with it in 2013… Although it’d probably be considered quite basic to today’s standards, especially where more accessible editing software provides much greater flexibility, this was something pretty popular and remarkable back in the day!

Club Penguin’s Gadget Room Theme
Happy February! For this month’s tune, I wanted to share one of my personal favourites: the theme tune to the Gadget Room from the Elite Penguin Force DS game. It’s fairly short, but it brings a lot of memories, and it’s one which you might recognise!
The DS games contained some of the most lovely soundtracks from all of Club Penguin, so I might share some more in the future! The theme tune to the Dojo from that DS game also is often highly regarded as a favourite.
I hope you like it, waddle on!

Club Penguin’s LCD Watch
For the Mountains Monday featuring a photo, I’ve decided that it might sometimes be fun to feature a specific piece of merchandise, especially one which is a little uncommon – and that’s exactly what this week’s post is about!
It’s a watch which could be bought from ToysRUs in 2008 for $9.99. However, photos of it today are extremely rare, and it’s believed that there hasn’t been one available to buy for quite a while. This has led to it being forgotten by many players!

I’m not sure if I’ll continue to use Mountains Monday to feature this old pieces of merchandise, but maybe every few months or when I run out of other photos, which probably won’t be anytime soon! If you did like this type of post though, be sure to let me know!
Waddle on!
