    CLUB PENGUIN REWRITTEN IS RETURNING!

    April 4, 2018 /

The game which we all love so much is returning this April, that’s right, Club Penguin Rewritten is officially returning! It has my absolute full support, and you’ll hear more from me soon.

Here’s what’s been confirmed: the game will re-launch this month and the reason so far is “due to the amount of support and funding”.

We're proud to announce that Club Penguin Rewritten and its services will be back online this month due to the amount of support and funding we have received.
If you have any questions regarding this, please ask away and we will respond as soon as possible.

    — Club Penguin Rewritten (@CPRewritten) April 4, 2018

All our accounts will be the same as we left the game so we can log right back onto our accounts! Even more, Pengur is still coming with Project Coral! The team also isn’t exactly certain if there will be a re-launch party, but they want to keep it exactly as the original.

I am honestly so happy! This is truly the best news which could be published, and I’ll be sure to keep you updated!

    Waddle on! 😀

Hagrid to Reveal “News in the Next Few Days”

    April 4, 2018 /

UPDATE: This exciting news was not related to Pengur, but it actually was the return of Club Penguin Rewritten!

Hagrid, the owner of Club Penguin Rewritten and an administrator of Pengur, has confirmed that there is “news” to be revealed in the next few days.

He also confirmed that this news was related to Club Penguin.

Yesterday, he also revealed that “two big things” are “in the works”, and only one of that includes Pengur’s Project Coral with it being unknown what the other thing is.

It is very likely that this could be related to Pengur, but it could be something else too, especially since it’s something other than Project Coral!

I’m honestly incredibly excited to find out what’s being planned, and I will be sure to keep you updated. For now, I don’t really have any guesses whatsoever, so I’m really curious to find what’s planned, especially since Hagrid is very talented and that its Club Penguin related.

Thank you very much for reading, waddle on!

    SuperCPPS: Rookie & Cosima Visits – 03/04/18

    April 3, 2018 /

    View Rookie tracker here

Earlier today, Rookie and Cosima made an appearance on the SuperCPPS English server Blizzard in celebration of the ongoing April Fools Party and Puffle Party!

He gave out postcards, explored the island, told jokes, spoke with others and more! Overall, it was a really cool meet-up, especially as it was in English, but he did not have a new background. It was also tracked by our tracker.

Cosima also then appeared later in the meet-up, and also gave out postcards whilst celebrating! She also had no new background.

In case you missed this meet-up, Rookie is scheduled to come online again at the following location and time, but he could come on any time before then:

    • Date: Thursday 5th April
    • Time: 18:00pm (SuperCPPS time) / 15:00pm (PST)
    • Server: Blizzard (English)
    • Starting Room: Town

Thank you very much for reading, be sure to check the Rookie tracker for an increased chance in meeting him!

Flippr 2018: An Introduction & An Interview

    April 3, 2018 /

Flippr is an upcoming CPPS, created by a talented person who has made beautiful rooms. It’s expected to release sometime in the summer, and there is a highly likely chance that I will be both playing and blogging about it.

UPDATE: In January 2019, Flippr announced it was returning, however the following post is outdated. A shift in management has been made, and I do not condone, support or endorse the return.

    –

UPDATE: On July 3rd, it was sadly confirmed that the Flippr relaunch has been cancelled. This post will serve as an archive, but here is the official statement from the owner.

    –

“Flippr is the art of new Club Penguin mixed with the spirit of old Club Penguin”

    -Sandor, owner of Flippr

Sandor kindly offered me the opportunity to ask him a few questions so we can understand what to expect with Flippr, however I would like to show you some of his recent work!

One of his latest projects was redesigning the entire island with rooms from Operation Blackout. All of them are heavily custom and unique, whilst still looking absolutely incredible and creating the same feel as Operation Blackout did!

    This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Another absolutely incredible project by Sandor from late 2016 was designing the entire island in celebration of the Music Jam, with completely custom and unique rooms, then uploading it onto a simulation!

It isn’t a private server as you don’t even need to register, but you’re able to check out all the amazing rooms to truly get an idea of Sandor’s talent. You can view the simulation here.

Having seen some of his designs, I hope you’ll be interested in checking out Flippr when it releases, but I’m sure there’s a lot more you would like to know about the server! I hope that this interview with Sandor, the owner/main designer of the game, will be informative.

Q1. Which “era” will Flippr be set in? (eg. Old/new artstyle, CPI, combination of “eras” etc.)
    A. So I always work in new art style, and that continues here. You’ll find it matches the Pirate Party 2014 / Inside Out Party style best, because that’s the specific art era we’re going for. As far as other things, imagine the ideas that might have come in 2013/2014, with the spirit of 2007-2010 CP.

    Pirate Party 2014 – Cove

Q2. Will Flippr be family friendly and will it have methods to ensure that the island remains family friendly, such as filters?
    A. Absolutely. Flippr is awesome in that in does have such a large audience – some very young people play it, as well as some original CP fans that are a bit older. We haven’t nailed down precisely what the system will be, but we’ll definitely have room for both. It’ll probably take the form of an “adult” server and a “G-rated” server, where users can choose their experience.

Q3. What kind of update schedule will Flippr have? (eg. Weekly/bi-weekly/monthly updates)
    A. We’re definitely looking to have weekly updates, at least via the newspaper and some other features. Bigger things, like parties, are going to be mainly on a monthly basis, with a few months having only miniparties because of real life time constraints.

    Original Flippr newspaper from 2016

Q4. Can we expect a significant amount of custom content?
    A. Absolutely. Flippr is, at its core, very much about design. I’ve definitely toned things down a bit over the years – the changes are more stylistic than gimmicky at this point. I think you’ll find that while quantitatively there may be less custom pieces, they’re going to be a lot higher quality.

Q5. Will there be catalogs that are regularly updated and will they be custom?
    A. Yes and yes. Just like last time, clothing and furniture catalogs will update each month, and feature a combination of custom and classic items. There will also be some custom catalogs which don’t update regularly, like the pet catalog and the game upgrades catalog.

Q6. Will Flippr have features such as name glows, chat bubble colours or options similar to this? Similar to this, will Flippr have commands, such as to allow any player to add any clothing item or furniture item?
    A. It hasn’t been decided every feature which will and won’t be in the game. We always listen to fan input, so features that a lot of people request do definitely have a chance of being placed in. That being said, I think that name glows and chat colours do sacrifice some of the game’s quality and are therefore unlikely. Adding clothing and furniture will definitely be present in some form tho, if not by command then by a massive catalog.

Q7. Will Flippr have mascots and stamps?
    A. Yes! Less mascots than last time but more stamps.

Garianna – a mascot on the original Flippr

Recently, there’s been a lot of issues regarding private servers about security, especially with an increase of hacks and database breaches. Security is an issue which I personally take into huge consideration when playing a server, especially if I decide to write about it on this blog, as well as ensuring the server has a trustworthy team. You can view some of my tips on this here.

With this issue being so prevalent in the community, I asked Sandor who will be on the administrative team, how secure Flippr will be to avoid issues like this, as well as if Flippr had any previous issues involving safety/security when it was originally open.

Yes, it was highly publicised that the last iteration of Flippr went down in flames, due to a security incident not unlike the ones that have befell other servers lately.

While I’m not saying quite yet who’s on the administrative team, what I can say is that security has been at the forefront since this new version came into development. That means developing safe code to avoid literal hacks, but also safe policies to prevent incidents. We’re working hard to combine these into an effective security strategy that we will gladly be transparent about in time.

Another question which I had was how Flippr would differ itself from the other custom private servers currently out there. SuperCPPS currently offers beautiful custom content, and Pengur will do so too when it releases later this year.

Considering that there’s been an increase in less-established private servers being created after the closure of Club Penguin Rewritten, but closing very shortly after their launch, I was also wondering how Flippr would differ from this.

Right, so I there are definitely other awesome servers out there doing a great job, but what makes Flippr different is the vision. We care a great deal about consistency, and being true to what classic Club Penguin was – not making a joke out of it or trying to emulate its successor. As far as longevity, I think this time around we’re just a bit more realistic about all of our plans and capacities.

Finally, I was curious on the estimated release for Flippr, especially considering that there has been a large desire for a safe and beautiful server with an active community. So far, it seems that the release is planned for ideally around summer.

We’re definitely looking to release this summer. In reality, it could be earlier, but I’d rather give time and launch as a surprise than have to delay. You can expect plenty of sneak peaks and behind the scenes both on my Twitter and on our new Discord server.

I’m truly grateful to be able to have the opportunity to speak with Sandor regarding this issue and thank him for this interview. For now, Flippr is simply a forum which you can view here.

I am excited to see the future of Flippr! As for whether or not I will be blogging about it, the answer is I’m not entirely sure yet. I will likely be doing so, but I can’t guarantee the answer just yet.

Thank you very much for reading, waddle on!

Vintage Penguin: Easter Egg Hunt & April Fools Guide

    April 2, 2018 /

The April Fools Party has begun on Vintage Penguin with lots of creative items and cool rooms, as well as there being an Easter Egg Hunt! This post will provide a full walkthrough to both these activities.

Rookie is also visiting the island with a new background! You can find a tracker for him here.

    Easter Egg Hunt:

As part of this party is an Easter Egg Hunt, with eight eggs hidden across the island. Once you’ve found the location, simply click the egg! After finding all of them, you receive the Pink Bunny Ears.

1st egg: This egg is located behind a box which is floating at the Box Dimension. It can be accessed by walking into the portal at the Ski Hill.

2nd egg: In order to obtain this egg, you’ll need to head to the Dojo. To do this, open your map and click the area where the mountains are.

You’ll then need to click the pencil which is located on the floor of the Dojo.

The second egg will now be drawn on the walls of the Dojo for you to click and obtain!

3rd egg: This is located on the speaker in the Night Club.

4th egg: This is located in the top right corner of the Forest behind a rock.

5th egg: This is located behind the oven in the Pizza Parlour.

6th egg: This egg is located around the counter at the Coffee Shop.

7th egg: This is located at the Beach in the water and next to the red ball.

8th egg: This is located at the Dock. Firstly, you need to click the “NO” sign next to the Hydro Hopper.

    The egg will then appear.

You can now click the easter egg icon on the top right of your screen and then click “Claim Prize” in order to receive some Pink Bunny Ears!

    April Fools Party:

Across the island are loads of wacky decorations, but the first thing you’ll notice is that you’re a green puffle! Along with this, there are also plenty of items to collect.

The Blue Propeller Cap is located at the Town.

The Green Bunny Ears are located at the Plaza.

The Funny Face Glasses are located at the Beach.

The Red Propeller Cap is located at the Ski Village.

The last free item, the Swirly Glasses, are located at the Cove.

There are a few more exclusive items which you can obtain! If you head to the Ski Hill, you will find a portal to the Box Dimension. From there, you can access the Box Store and by clicking the icon on the bottom right corner, you will be able to select four furniture items.

Lastly, at the Mine, if you join all the dots together in order (eg. 1 to 2, 2 to 3, 3 to 4 etc.), you will be able to receive the Crayon Pin!

Rookie is also visiting the island with a new background! You can use the Rookie tracker for an increased chance of meeting him, but this is how the background looks like.

That concludes the guide to this really cool party! Thank you very much for reading, I hope that it helped! Be sure to check back for more of the latest Vintage Penguin news and guides!

    SuperCPPS: Rookie & Cosima Visit – 01/04/18

    April 2, 2018 /

View Rookie tracker here & view Cosima tracker here

In celebration of the April Fools Party, Rookie and Cosima made a visit on the Spanish server Yeti earlier today!

The meet-up was really cool! Each mascot sent postcards and explored the island, whilst offering an exclusive stamp and background! Neither of them had a new background but Rookie did have a new player card which looks awesome!

Cosima also explored the island and offered an exclusive background and stamp, but once again, it was not a new background!

Both these visits were tracked by our tracker and were scheduled. If you missed them, don’t worry! Rookie will be making plenty more visits throughout the week in celebration of the Puffle Party, so be sure to check our tracker.

Delphine is currently visiting the island for the ongoing Puffle Party, with meet-up times for her being confirmed here.

As a result, Delphine had her stamp added to the stampbook today! It is a hard-difficulty stamp and can be obtained by being in the same room as Delphine.

Along with this, Delphine’s background has also been confirmed by the community manager who was wearing it in-game. It looks really cool!

Thank you very much for reading, be sure to check back for more of the latest news and guides!

    Good luck meeting Delphine soon!

    Introducing Animal Jam Mountains

    April 1, 2018 /

    Hello Jammers!

As part of some new changes to make this website even better, I’ve decided to start blogging about something a little different…Animal Jam!

From this point onwards, I will be blogging about Animal Jam, starting with the Spring updates. As such, this website will now be called Animal Jam Mountains, however the domain will not be updated yet.

I hope you’re excited for the new future of this blog, your #1 source for Animal Jam! Be sure to check back for more of the latest news and guides!

    Jam on!

    -Torres 126

Yes, this is an April Fools prank, don’t worry! For the record, I would highly recommend supporting Club Penguin over Animal Jam any day, the content is much better on Club Penguin in my opinion. However, many people do enjoy Animal Jam, so perhaps it’s for you! For now though, I’m definitely sticking with Club Penguin and my suggestion would be that you do too.
