CP Rewritten: Cadence’s Twilight Giveaway
Cadence has made her first appearance for the Music Jam on the server Blizzard on Club Penguin Rewritten! She was tracked by the tracker, but I just wanted to write this post to inform you that she had a new background: the Twilight Background. You can see it below, along with her playercard.
As this is the first tracker visit with the new design, I know that many people will be curious on how it works. I wanted to share a quick screenshot for those who missed it; you’ll see a notification in the top right on any page informing you which mascot is online.
Congratulations if you met her, but don’t worry if you didn’t; there’ll still be plenty of visits over the course of the party so you can meet her!

Notifications are something I’ve tried experimenting with for a while. So far, you’ll see a notification on any page if you refresh and a mascot is online, but I appreciate that means having to be on the website. I’ve tried to implement the auto-refresh every two minutes feature to prevent this (there’s technical reasons on why it needs to be two minutes) and also, mascot locations should be tweeted on @CPMountains. 🙂

Yeah I also think like a sound notification would be a great idea! But for now, I just turned on the post notifications on the CP Mountains Twitter acc. Hopefully next time I’m able to meet a mascot without waiting in a 300 person line cuz i was slow lol.

A sound notification is a cool idea! I’m always open to exploring improving the trackers; I’ve done a lot of work on them lately, and I want to try and make them as helpful as possible! And best of luck meeting the mascots too! 🙂

If all that content had made it into MJ, it would have been the greatest party ever. I don’t think anything comes close, and we’ve had memorable parties.

I do try and update the visit count, and the Last visit but on the tracker should help, but I completely understand what you mean! I think adding a server list (like with the Cadence tracker) would be especially helpful, and I’m contemplating merging all four tracker pages of the Penguin Band into one which may make that easier.
