NO Worldwide Club Penguin Island Beta
.@clubpenguin Island Geo-beta: December
Worldwide beta: next year.
Mark your calendars!
— Tech70 (@Tech70CP) November 28, 2016
Beta testing ends on the 1st of December and we know that there will be an open beta shortly after that date! Well, Megg confirmed last night that there will be a geo-beta next month.
I suspect that means a few more countries will get the opportunity to test Club Penguin Island. This is because when the team used “geo-beta” to describe beta testing for Disney Mix, only Australia and New Zealand get it.
If this beta is for Android (like promised) then it should be possible to download the app regardless of your country. We’ll keep you updated!

NEW Club Penguin Island App Version
https://twitter.com/OrangeCP/status/803352011429314560
Beta tester Orangeee has just informed us that there’s a new version of the Club Penguin Island App available for those who are already testing the game.
He told me that the app is now 100mb larger and he suspects it contains bug fixes. He also kindly sent me this screenshot showing that you can now update the app!

I’d like to thank Orange for this information!

No Puffles in Club Penguin Island at First

Although we were informed by Spike Hike (the former manager of Club Penguin) a few months ago that puffles won’t be at the launch of the new game, many players have forgotten. In fact, I saw some confusion yesterday as to whether or not they will be around.UPDATE: We now know that puffles are coming late 2017 or even in 2018. Read more.
This screenshot posted many moons ago by my friend Flip Flap15 tells us that although puffles won’t be at the launch of the game, they will come eventually! Though quite how long this will be is a mystery.
UPDATE: We’ve had a sneak peek of puffles. Read more.
Remember to stay tuned to Club Penguin Mountains for the latest things to do with our new island!

Club Penguin Island: More Beta Invites Sent Daily & Open Beta Close

“More and more invitations are being sent daily”, according to moderator Urban Tailor. An interesting thing to find out is whether this means the TestFlight invitation or the interest email. Bloxorz, the beta-tester who took that screenshot, also found this information “interesting”.
Madzom8ie also shared a screenshot of Aunt Arctic saying that more and more penguins were arriving on the island. I think it’s interesting that the team have decided to make her say that as it’d be no use when beta is over. The final screenshot is by Madzom8ie and shows that there are three new servers. All of these screenshots suggest that an open beta is approaching us rapidly. The closed beta ends in just a few days and I reckon shortly after that, we’ll see an open beta.
Thanks to Madzom8ie and Bloxorz!

Club Penguin Island: Sharing Pack
Along with the sports pack, beta tester Bloxorz also tweeted out this sharing pack which contains fabrics and blueprints! I think that they look really fantastic, but I don’t understand why it’s being called the “sharing pack”.

Club Penguin Island: Sports Pack

Beta tester Bloxorz tweeted out a few images of the Sports Pack that can be earnt on Club Penguin Island! The reason I posted this image is because I find it interesting how they have decided to make themed packs. For example, in this sports pack, we have fabrics of footballs and items like rugby helmets.
How do you feel about this? Once again, I’d like to thank Bloxorz for these images!

More Mascots Coming to Club Penguin Island!

I’ve been so focused on reporting the latest news about the beta, I completely forgot to share some screenshots which Madzom8ie tweeted! From what we know, only Rockhopper and Aunt Arctic are on the island, but that is soon going to change! A moderator has confirmed that more mascots are on their way!
I’ve heard some rumours that a moderator said that Herbert would be around. I’m not sure about this though. I’m glad we’re going to see new mascots in the future!

Club Penguin Island Gameplay Video: EVIL!
In this gameplay video by beta-tester Riyita, we can see two missions that he completes. One of these is from Rockhopper and the other from Aunt Arctic.
I like the fact that there’s a bit of evil in it. I hope the team continues with that storyline and I suspect that towards the end of story mode, a villain will try to destroy the island!Once again, thank you to Riyita! You can read Riyita’s blog here.

Club Penguin Island: Membership Uses
In this post, I’m going to share some of the many reasons for why you will need a membership on Club Penguin Island. Beta tester Madzom8ie posted a video about this topic on his YouTube channel.
We can now confirm that you’ll need to be a member to:- Wear ANY type of clothes
- Adventure and use things like the tube feature and the ziplines
- Buy food or party supplies
- Possibly access new rooms (not confirmed yet)
This is interesting. I think that the team need to ensure we don’t have a repeat of classic Club Penguin where non-members complain there’s nothing for them. This is worse, in my opinion. However, Madzom8ie thinks that the team will eventually implement non-member clothing, which would be great!
You can read more details about Club Penguin Island membership here.
